French way of saying to Saddom "dont use the weapons we know you have as we helped supply the stuff to make em"

French also hope to have some say in the  25% of all Iraq Oil deal they had.    (Blood for Oil  indeed)

J'aime pas monter dans les trains qui risquent de dérailler.

Does this mean what I think it means?  The French wouldn't board the train when Hitler was invading Poland, either.

French straddle fences to avoid spending on military, they will suck up to the biggest threat, until it becomes apparent that
somebody else will win, then they will 'reverse suck'.
The french, as a military institution, suck.

According to Dowding the politicians in France are merely reflecting the will of the people.

Perhaps you could either confirm this, or deny it so we can all be the wiser.

Lets keep the French Gov't separate from "The French",  guys...we have french friends/aquaintences on this BBS, I would like to keep them separate.

Just like America, we have many that hate our Gov't, but do not hate Americans in general.

You want my POV I guess ?

I won't anytime back GWB in a war against Iraq as he want to do today .

If he chose the easy way (without UN backing) he must go alone and face the all consequences alone.

Not my war it's his war.

But if he manage to have UN backing I'll follow.

Okay...now what if Iraq uses chemical or biological weapons?  Will you support the war then, as your politicians are saying?  Or will you still personally "insist" that the UN must consent before France acts?

(PS...I've kept well away from alot of the French bashing on this board Straffo, but when I see the kind of hypocracy that your politicians are sprouting now I simply cannot keep quiet.

I think you and I understand each other on this level. )

When asked why the situation would change matters, Levitte said that "no army is allowed by treaties to use chemical and biological weapons. This is absolutely forbidden and if Saddam Hussein were to use these weapons then he would a create a completely new situation for the whole world."
[/b]

What about when he used them against his own people?

The French simply got outmanuevered and are doing the crab....ya know, it's good to know who your friends really are.

GW is sly like a Fox and has the stones to do what his predecessors failed to....his future dealings with the French will be interesting to watch....I wouldn't be suprised in the least to see him let them in the backdoor when the dust has settled...he knows the importance of strategic alliance, and is a leader wise enough to have the same serve the United States best interest long term.

and yah know why i hate chirac?

because he had an opportunity to join with us and provide a united voice against saddam, and thereby possibly avoid any war at all.

his reticence has encouraged saddam, this will cost AMERICAN lives. and that i will not forget. nor will most americans.

your pissant leader has decided to announce he will veto ANY use of force.. and you, all smug with your 'if he manage to have UN backing" roadkill...

you suck, straffo. don't take it personal. but you surely suck if you can say that, knowing your leader will block any move the Un could make in backing us up.

it is impossible for there to be peace or freedom in iraq with saddam in power. you know this.

France sucks. You suck.

American soldiers, british soldiers lives.... thats what this will cost. plenty of 'em. thanks to toejamheads like chirac.

may france rot in hell.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...
