I looked at the total number of posts in the O'Club around January when I noticed it was heating up in here. Total posts were around 170,000. Total posts for the General Forum were at 274,000. Now... the O'Club is at 210,000 and the General Forum is at 278,000.

HTC needs to get AH2 out the door fast.

Well im exited about getting to play the regular AH, been on an six month break, and in about 2 - 3 weeks im airborne again...

Its gonna be fun! im getting an brand new computer from the company i work at (i get to put it togheter all by myself so its no regular workstation

) plus im getting VDSL instead of ADSL, can you say 10mbit thru the telephone jack?

Wow.

The war has much to do with the jump in the O'club posts... but that doesn't tell the whole story. And it doesn't explain the drop in the frequency of posts in the General forum. I suspect you're right...in that it has to do with AH's development. But that also doesn't tell the whole story. For example, does it indicate a decline in interest of AH overall? Or is it merely a reflection of the fact that without any new releases to discuss, there's just nothing new to discuss?

New releases have always been the main interest for me. So I'm patiently waiting for AH2. There's plenty to do in the meantime.

And, like Nash said, the war made things pretty frenetic around here for a couple of months.

I never post in General Forums and rarely, if ever, read it. The O'Club seemed like the appropiate forum for me so this is all I post to. Unfortunately as soon as my house sells we're moving to the North Coast and I won't have Internet Access. I'll miss O'Club more than I'll miss my porn sites even.

Maybe the level of monthly "venting" is constant. It just gets redistributed throughout the various forums as "necessary"?

Not a drop in the number of posts in the General forum... a drop in the frequency. The O'Club picked up 40,000 posts since January, while the General forum picked up only 4,000 (approx 1k per month).

That's gotta be way below average for the General forum - otherwise it would only be at around 50,000 (4 years times 12k) instead of 278,000.

And yeah, this is a stupid thread.
