"President George Bush is targeting the international treaty to save the ozone layer which protects all life on earth from deadly radiation, The Independent on Sunday can reveal."

That's as far as I got before I fell over laughing.

Actually, what our government wants, is for Every signatory to abide by the same rules.  As is, the "underdeveloped" nations get to polutte, while we, with our relatively cleaner industries must drop our emmisions.

Basically an anti-developed country treaty.  We would be stupid to sign it(which is why we haven't and won't).  Blame it on the U.S., not Bush.

the sheep in new zealand emit 'green house" gases that are a major contributer to global warming. the sheep need to be fitted with catalictc converters.

There was a neat thing on the science channel this weekend...I think it was called "Climate Controversy" or the like.  Both camps argued scientifically about how to getter grasp/control global warming, etc.

Turns out, the science can't prove doing a thing makes a difference.  Satellites show the sun is more active, thus the higher intensity/warmer temps.

And, if things were heating up badly, the lower atmospehere would be hotter.  It isnt

Catch the show...dunno what channel it is for everyone...its one of the discovery channels and was pretty good.

If it is natural then there is no way to hire a bunch of useless agencies and afirmative action do nothings tio staff em so...   that would not be aceptable.  The government would not grow and a lot of people wouldn't have something to feel good about.

No rational actor in Bush's position would sign this treaty even if all of the science about global warming and ozone depletion is completely accurate.

Global warming and Ozone depletion are 2 different things.

There is nothing 'natural' about CFC's depleting the Ozone.

Want to slow Global Warming.....

Make more man-made snow!

More snow on the ground for a few days longer every year would mean more sunlight reflected back out to space instead of being absorbed, thus eventually slowing and ultimately reversing the Global Warming Trend!

I stake "Al Gore" claims to this idea and any proceeds that result!

Now I'm off to get that Government Grant money so I can build a super-computer (my P2 386 just won't due) and in 10....no 20 years worth of simulations to prove the validity of my hypothosis!

THINK SNOW!!!!
