We had two cats at work (ball bearing mouse traps in my reports)... They were huge males that I rescued as kittens. They were inseperable and hunted together and allways were together. even slept together. last month one of em got sick so we took him in... cancer, diagnsois.... 1 week to live.

Great big dufus's at work who claimed to hate cats were all bummed.

I feel your pain too Pfunk, I have a 10 year old dog that I'm gonna have to prepare for when I have to put her down.. I don't want to think about it..

had to have our 14 yr old dog put down...heart failure...

dogs and cats are a lot harder than rabbits and such...

SOrry bro... I had to put down a 17 year old lab I had since 1st grade.... I sobbed like a baby... it was terible I could not stay in the room.

June 2000 I had to do the same thing with my dog. Too painful to even think about.

Sorry about your cat Pfunk, mine was just diagnosed with renal/kidney failure, and I'm giving her 200 cc's of saline a day to sustain her comfort level.

I feel your pain, and I can barely stand thinking about how I'm going to handle the same situation when it comes soon.

Sorry for your lose Pfunk.
My wiofe and I had to put down one of our dogs two years ago.
He was insaine and was biting me and out akita.
But i Loved him very much and Often feel guilt about having to put him down.
But at 90lbs I saw him as a liability If i gave him to someone because he had snapped at children in the past.
And On the advice of 3 vets we put him down.
Time will heal your wounds dude.
