I heard Anne Coulter hated Bill Clinton and all his works....

Maybe she should stop getting paid by American companies too.

He is entitled to his opinion. He has the right to freedom of speech. He can live say and do where ever and what ever he likes. Fortunatly I have that same freedom to spend my money where ever and when ever I like. I for one will never go see another one of his movies.

Freedom in action you gotta love it.

Funny you mention that.  I've got a good friend that is pretty conservative that decided to do the same thing when he heard this about Depp.  But then he kept hearing how good Pirates of the Carribean was and wanted to see it.  His solution?  Pay for another movie and sneak into Depp's movie, so he wouldn't be giving money to that American hating bastard.

You've got to love people with principles!

Unless Depp got a share of the proceeds, I'm pretty sure he's already been paid.

Shh, my buddy might hear that, Sandman, and he'd probably cry if he learned that his willful violation of theater rules wasn't morally justified.

I'm sure you realize that box office sales on his last movie dictate his take on the next?

Unfortunately, I take the viewpoints of others pretty seriously (afterall, a person is defined by ideology, actions, and words, right?).

I didnt say I wouldnt watch his movies, but his interview will leave a sour taste in my mouth when I do see them.

Also - Blue - I imagine that Grun's loyalty to the United States comes as a direct result of his living experience elsewhere.  I think you'd be follish to ignore his posts as 'hyper-sensitive.'  If anything, they should carry more weight in discussions such as these due to the fact that he has experiences youve never had the (dis)pleasure of adding to your portfolio.

Regardless, at least he took the measure to protect his own interests, giving the interview a month after the release of his big movie.

I caught Depp on Bravo "Inside the Actors Studio" the other day. He could not care less about a movie after he's done working on it.

One of the benefits of being successful and having more money than you can ever hope to spend.

Since he loves France and despises the US so much maybe he should start making only French movies? Or maybe he is a hypocrite?

No MT, I don't believe that. However, his comments weren't specifically directed at the American government but rather at America. You may infer that he meant only the government if you want but I think he meant what he said.
