Spit9 pilot trng

Greetings Ghosth, fuzeman & Ren :)

Enjoyed my outing of Day 3 in the Training Arena, appreciated the time & patience u displayed twds me, learned much.;)

Ghosth, the Merges  executed were well learned by myself & keeping u in sight was all due to Ren's trng me previous days,
likewise, my cutting my throttle to get u off my 6 worked, of course, my resultant spinout was a real bummer :(  a bit of dis-
appointment after exultation plus being low over water
didn't help my pressing X to stop the spin.

fuzeman, what can I say but it was a fun learning experience plus
I learned from the ACM executions, had 2b carefully sticking to ur 6 as we were pretty low at times. Bravo... Good flying 1 & all :D

Now off to my studies & practicing offline, thought my landings improved but I was wrong, although I do have Ren's dissertation of landing printed out by my side ... oh well, if at 1st u don't suc-
ceed, try & try again

Cheers,

Happy1  :D

Greetings cobia38 :)

Thx ever so much 4 ur encouragement as it's much appreciated,
however, upon Ren's (my flight instructor) recommendation, I'm
attempting to learn the Spit9, its do's & don'ts, ACM & tactics.

Once mastered or rather when I become proficient in it then I'll
start my education in the P38 :p

Gratefully,

Happy1  :D

Just remember, if you tangle with a nme, retract your dive flaps and get rid of your ordinance or you might get shot out of the sky by a 110 like I did last night.:(

  OMG Dump ord !!!!  why take it with you if you dump it.?

There seems to be little diference in perfomence with a 38
light or hvy.unlike other rides like pony or jug.

Just dropped a 1000lb on vh and after pulling out noticed 110 on my six.  Tried to evade, then run.  After I got shot down, I realized I still had one 1000lb hung and had forgotten to retract dive flaps. (1st p38 sortie).

Probably my inexperience with this plane, but makes me feel better blaming shoot down on flaps and ordinance.

Also, didn't really mind too much cause i fly 110 quite often.

here are some helpfull hints on ordence delivery.

Next time you fire rockets, notice that they hit right or left of
the cross hairs, depending on whitch side they launch from.

fireing order is as follows  #10 left,#9 right
                                             #8 and #7 left
                                             #6 and #5 right
                                             #4 and #3 left
                                             #2 and #1 right

this will help in targeting gv,s and vaulching with rockets.

eggs drop left first then right, this will effect your roll rate
so you may want to drop both depending on situation.

The most common mistake i see with compressing on a divebomb run is that pilots are so fixated on there target,
that they dont watch their speed. If you dive in from say 10k.
and your trying to line your target up,check your speed.
If your going over 400 and your target doesent quite look sweet, pull up before its to late. You can allways make a 2nd pass.
