Flash Player / Win2k / IE 6
« on: September 10, 2003, 07:05:03 AM »
I have upgraded from Win98 to W2k.  I ran across a picture that needed Macromedia's Flash Player to run.  So off I went to their website.  Flash Player won't download from their website.  It will download Shock Player, but not Flash Player.   I am logged on as Administrator.  I have enabled cookies, and enabled Java, removed firewall, removed anti-virus, my machine is wide open for terrorist attack.  Still can't get it to download.  Used uninstaller to remove everything.  Tried again, but no joy.  Checked to see if my Wife's computer which runs Win2k also would do the same thing.  It downloaded it with no problem, and she has all the anti-terrorist programs running, including a firewall.  Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks,
Thorns

I found a fix.  I downloaded an installer "Flash activex installer", and it worked.
