blows monkey chunks.  way too few and too far apart bases in europe.  flying times truly suck.  a good setup spoiled with a poor map that is better used for scenarios, not arena play.  use the BoB map, imho.

And take out the P51B.  This map is also pretty outdated visually compared to the current standard.

I logged on, stared at the map for a few minutes, and logged off.

I guess it doesn't hurt to visit the MA once a year...

I have to agree, great idea, bad map.

Again guys, keep in mind at the CT we are volunteers.

If it isn't a constructive critique it has no merit.  If you need help on constructive critques, read any of GRUNHERZ's postings.

To the rest of you, your comments are remembered gentlemen. Thanks for your support for the CT staff in their efforts.

OK,
What I said was inappropriate.

What I should have said was:

I don't want to fly so far to fight.

I think that this is a great set-up, but the map makes it not worth flying IMO.

I think the set-up could be transferred to another ETO map and it would be very successful.  Right now I feel the map has too few bases and other problems such as ack issues.

Just my two cents .... you don't have to agree.

once the fuel is porked at the close bases, the flight times are even worse (they are porked alot as many bomber dweebs able to get alt due to distances btwn bases and huge map size and the almost indestructable B17 groups)

put this plane set in the tunsia map or the finland one

keep the p51b - who cares if it can run away fast :)

we just need a smaller map with to get the most outa this setup

I also think the bases are too far apart.

I think it kicks arse.  I have noticed that most fights are taking place in a more historical context..  ie at 15-20 thousand feet.  Not at 100 feet in a fricking p47.  I think its a great change to have fights where the planes were supposed be intercepting each other.  The little 1000foot furball and ant line ma style fight  is what the ma is for.  For that matter the ta is out there too.

I like the current setup and the map is not so bad! Actually it is nice that there is sometimes unusual maps and not always the same Okinawa, Slot, BoB and Finrus maps!;)

Variations sometimes refresh us!:)
