Ok, a voice of reason for those who care to read...
Try as I might, I can't honestly find an Allied Fan Boi whine from any of us. Sure, there may be setups that aren't our cup of tea, but so be it. Of course we'll come to speak our mind if one of our Squaddies gets pissed on...Batz - you do it for Brady, for the same reason I'm sure.
When we do fly in the CT, we fly as a Squad, and work as a squad, the same way we do when flying the Squad Ops, Snaps and CAP events. That's how we like to fly. We fly whatever side needs numbers assistance, without hesitation, for the good of the CT. We've been in the CT since Tour 2, along with VF-27 and their subsequent squads. Lowe has done much in the way of trying to make the CT a viable arena by creating much needed Axis squads - but I digress.
We currently have 4 CMs, 2 of whom design scenarios. I mention this only to counter the comments that we do nothing for the game. I'd like to think that anyone who actively participates in the CT would be able to voice their opinion or input, without fear of reprisal or name calling, as they are in fact, customers of that arena.
You'll not find us instigating any kind of trash talk on Ch1, however, we are subject to it. Some of us are thick skinned and can jokingly toss it back (TheBug) and some just squelch 1 (the easiest solution) Ch1 to us is a place to congratulate someone on a good fight, or to say howdy to folks we know who are on the other team. We've seen hostile personalities come and go in the CT, so no big whoop, it's usually just a phase.
The CT is a great place, unfortunately, tempers will flare because of the gaps in the plane-set that need to be compensated for. We went through that in the WarBirds WW2 Arena with the famed Rolling Plane Set. That said however, I would still much rather deal with a couple of type mismatches, then fight Spit vs Spit, Corsair vs P51 ad nauseam.
Batz, I don't know you apart from this BBS, and as much as you can be admired for jumping to the defence of a friend in need, you must also respect everyone elses right to do the same.
