No popups here.

Time for you to run ad-aware, it sounds like.

Do you use Microcraps messenger? If so some crap eating scumbags foind a loophole in it that lets them run this stuff.Ironicly they also direct you to a web page or 2 that lets you buy software to get rid of it.Try some spyware software.Should find it.Kazza also installs spyware.

Go into control panel/administrator settings.  Then go into services and turn it off. I'm sure there is other ways to do it, but that way worked for me.

-Edit- Faster way to do that is to goto start/run services.msc then disable messenger.

windows messenger is only system prompt-style windows, not a full url like http://8ad.com/ad.php?code=game.
Had the same ad portal wormed into my messenger-disabled pc, never did find it and never saw it again since I formatted.

It's not us.  These programs get planted in your computer's IE temp directory and they associate with whatever happens to be there.
Once they do this, everytime you open that page, they run.  Nasty little bastiages.

I have never had a computer get these popup problems, so I really cannot personally make a recommendation for getting rid of them.

However, I have said all along that the Messenger service must be disabled to help protect you from some of them.

I think Adaware and Spybot, when used in conjunction, might help, but I cannot swear to it.
