Wrong.  Read the book "The Last Nazis".  Also reference the book called "The Good War", it has a few post-war death stories mentioned in there.

I wonder how many Americans died keeping West Germany alive during the Berlin Blockade? Betcha a million bucks it wasn't "ZERO". Gonna hafta do some research.

I think a plane went down during the Berlin airlift. But that was a russian thing, not an insurgent thing.

Seems I recall it was about 60 lost, approx 30 were Americans. Will have to search. The Berlin airlift is not unlike what is happening in Iraq today, in that there are external forces attempting to cripple a nation the US is occupying.

I suggest you dig deeper.  Many of these instances also went unreported as the press wasn't at liberty to report as freely as they are today.
