Ya I did mean Direct Rendering Infrastructure ... only probem with DRI is, I found out it's not setup for my radeon 9500 doh! Hope they get there soon...

Is the only place to download WineX free CVS at sourceforge(officaly anyway)?

Bleeding edge as they say...Prefer a stable build if I can find one

They seem to want money or something at the main WineX page, kinda defeats the whole point.

There is absolutely no way Windows is the best out there.

Its simply the industry standard. They got their name out by creating a better PC OS (DOS) than was currently out. Then the Mac ripoff, the original Windows.

That was the day in age where the majority of people were computer illiterate (the only thing that has changed is those people now claim they are computer literate), and so they went with the name brand - just like clothing.

You know why they need the CCNA certifications? Because there are few networking people in management positions so they go with the name brand (M$), and its the only way they would ever sell their server OS software.

F*** Microsoft for ever then, I can't stand it either. Only use it for games. Everything else I boot up using Linux Red Hat 9, great OS can only get better.

Look forward to the day when I can bin MS for good.

and Mac riped off Xerox ... Xerox invinted the GUI and the Mouse, and about half the computer world.....

Not only that (I look forward to it too) ..I want to be able to configure a system for computer Illitrate freinds and family. Have it easier to use than Linux is currently.... Like in Windows it is easy to install programs.... packages and modueles, etc can be tricky in Linux still...

To really beat windows.....It needs it to more automated (bug free[er]) but still with that underlaying linux freedom

So anyone know about WineX and them chargeing for it or CVS?
