chute shooters??!!

I still dont do it, think its crass, use to really piss me off when mine got shot, but now I normally ride the wreck into the ground so the dweebs dont get the satisfaction

Btw, hate to spoil your fun, but I don't care if you shoot me in a chute. Half the time I ride the puppy down anyway to salute the victor if he has bested me in a good fight. (Give em a show, I know I'd rather see the plane I shot down return to earth rather than transform itself into a chute)

If some one does bail, I'd rather  do a victory roll in front of em instead of shooting em, shows much more class.

Keep in mind that the chute shooters are the "you VILL conform" group.  They are the ones who are forcing their view on how the game should be played onto the rest of us.  I have no choice about being shot in my chute or not, it is entirely in the hands of the guy with the multi-ton pile of metal, aviation fuel and guns, not the guy with a few pounds of silk and rope.

I am flying just to enjoy myself.  I try not to piss other guys off while I do it because I want them to have fun too.  When somebody is doing something to piss others off, as in:

That's a nice blanket statement...I quite enjoy killing chutes, and I think you'd have a hard time finding me stating that others should play the game the way I think they should.  On the other hand, you seem to want me to play the game the way you want me to.  I like to shoot chutes, so I do it...you don't, so don't.  You can speculate on my reasoning for it all you want, but I just view them as more targets that blow up when I shoot 'em.

There are also some people in the game who get pissed off when they get killed by an H.O. they could most likely avoid, vulched at a field with no ack that they keep upping from despite no defense, and on and on and on.  If we all flew just like everyone else wanted us to, then we'd just be flying in formation, looking at the pretty sheep as we fly by 'em low and slow.  mmmm...sheeep...baaaaa

Anyhow, blah, blah, blah, this thread has taken a turn for the stupid IMO, so I'm just gonna go fly and kill things...including chutes...and sheep if I could watch 'em blow up...and squadmates, despite killshooter!

The difference is that you don't deliberately HO them to get them pissed.  In other words, whether they get pissed or not is entirely out of your hands, unlike when you shoot a chute.  Its up to you whether or not you do it, and nothing I say or do will change that.  I'm simply expressing my point of view.  I'm not saying that all chute shooters do it to get the chutist pissed.  Renfield quite specificly stated that that was why he was doing it.

Playing the "fallen hero" vs "evil pilot" is much better then the "dweeb chutest" vs "superior pilot"

Besides if you open your chute before a thousand feet ya deserve to be shot anyway

   I shoot chutes cause they move real slow, they can't shoot back, and there the only thing I can hit.  I SHOT THE CHUTE.....BUT I DID NOT SHOOT THE DEPUTY.

 Karnak I agree except for the fact that that it is better to be pissed off than pissed on. Now whether or not a person becomes pissed off or just pissed can depend on several factors.Did he get pissed off cause someone shot his chute, or is he just pissed cause he bailed...Im getting out of this thread. Its gettin me pissed off.

And to clarify, all those ranting and making their little lists of who they won't help because they shoot at chutes - those are the ones I enjoy pissing off. And yes, I do enjoy pissing them off. I figure anyone telling me that I have to abide by their idea of what are sacred pixels and what aren't are about as full of it as they can get without popping their top.

If chutes were supposed to be invulnerable, they would be. It happened in real life. Many examples too.

So fly your way and don't shoot at chutes if that is your pleasure. But quit whining about me doing it... and maybe I'll not do it so often. Or maybe not.

The ability to shoot chutes gives us the opportunity what kind off sim. pilots we are.
Any selfrespecting squad doesn't allow it.

The one who doesn't shoot chutes is a gentleman in my opinion.

The one who shoot's them are ....fill it in for ur self.

I will even defend heavyily damaged enemy plane's who try too ditch.
