68KO.

Thanks I really appreciate it, that was a lot of typing. I don't know how to tell you this but , we represent the 78th Fighter Group, you gave us the history of the 78th Fighter Squadron , which served in the Pacific.

I really appreciate the effort bud, and it was great reading, even if it wasn't our group.:)

Cutting and pasting from here: http://www.au.af.mil/au/afhra/wwwroot/rso/rso_index.html from what it looks like.

68 ... you may want to give these things a quick review before you paste `em. "Established as 78th Fighter Wing on 24 Sep 1948."

While this is an interesting source of information dealing with some of the USAF squadron lineages .... it's not all that inclusive.

For instance ... you won't find an 82nd, 83rd or 84th fighter squadron (the three squadrons that comprised the 78th FG) in those dropdown lists.

Ugh hey Arlo dont drink that beer. 8th AF regulations require urine testing on all pilots. We were out of specimen bottles. So I told the flight surgeon have the guys use those old pilsner bottles I had left over from JG-3.

If I'm too late and you did drink it................. Let me know which ones tasted a lil spicier than the others.:aok

With us Lowe the fleet is always in port. Remember we got kicked off our carrier because of "supply problems". I think it was because we kept taking beer up with us on patrol and they thought they could keep us out of the way on the ground. Little did they know we were headed for the hot spot. :D
