How many of you think you need a thought moderator?
Speak up on whether you think this should be done away with in its current format of allowing a player to be secluded and without any provide directive by HTC as to what their function is and how its to be applied ! if you think HTC has steped over the line speak up!

I don't need one but seem you do.

This is a business bud. This is not a public forum or entertainment service. If you have problems watching your language when you're online then too bad.

This is nothing less than Big Brother at work and never to be take private, u can't even mention this in the text buffer or you'll get muted, so the Moderator must get some kind of kick back from HTC. The .squelch is right at your finger tips you dont need this Moderator crap, if its so risky to be a Moderator that HTC has to cloak the identity of the individual then our text buffer must really be something else, but in fact thats not the case at all so lets bounce this Moderator crap to the curb and gutter where it belongs and rid the text buffer of Big Brother!!!

westy u have taken this clear out of context as u usually do, nothing at all was said about language, thats an assumption on ur part so that must be where the majority of your own thinking is, what the point is is that the .squelch is their and thats what I use on u, HTC doesnt need the Big Brother Moderator no ifs ands or butts ! The text buffer is usually fairly tame, if someone is offended it can be filmed and sent to HTC and they can do their job which is also part of running a company, they should do it not a behind the scenes individual that cant even tell you what is to be muted and what isnt ! HTC has droped the ball there! And it is in fact an entertainment service!

Just because there is a .squelch feature in the game, it doesn't give one the greenlight to start spewing filth.  The game that I work for has a language filter to mask any foul language and I repeatedly tell players that I bust for using foul language that the language filter doesn't give one the greenlight to violate the TOS.

Again people nothing was said about foul language ! Point is HTC cannot or will not provide a directive that defines the function of moderator! I mentioned dissolving the position of Moderator on open text and got muted now thats some power! Way to much power, HTC must define what these behind the scenes people can and cannot do so that they are not a violator of the power themselves!

I don't have the faintest idea what he's talking about, so I guess it hasn't affected me.

Maybe there are a set of guidelines that are made known to the moderators, and only the moderators, in which they work. Maybe they are not posted to prevent such "rules" bickering and definition-bending speech, you know, talking around a subject which is mutable. Maybe a log is kept and has to be submitted whenever a mute is applied and you just don't see it.

Every good witch hunt started with someone saying "burn the witch...", well ok, there were probably a few with references to newts in them, but anyway, all it takes is someone to start the kindling burning about getting rid of the moderators and the tardlet-wood will soon be jumping in and then there is a forest fire of dissent against a system installed to basically monitor those who need monitoring so that those who can keep a relatively civil tone to their gaming discourse can go unhindered/provoked by these few. Seems they have zero tolerance for going after the moderators, eh?

Lastly, its their game and they get to choose the environmental controls. You get to choose whether your account gets renewed or not. Hopefully it does because this would be such a petty thing to leave over. Take a chill-break and go vulch a bit, you'll forget all this in no time.

Since I am intelligent enough to have an idea where the line is, I can figure out what will get me muted/moderated; as such, I will not call you a moron.
