Crzhrs, there is no excuse for having problems with the moderators. It doesn't have to be vulgarity, anything that you are told you cannot say is actionable by the moderators. They no more want players arguing these matters online than using vulgarity. It's a matter of control. AH isn't a public venue for you to excercize your right of speach. It's a business. When you are muted, you are in affect being informed what not to say. If you can't accept it, leave AcesHigh.

The vast majority of the players have never had this type of problem, and those who have, in the vast majority of cases, deserved it. But, if you truely feel you've been mistreated, you can discuss it with HTC. This is the very last place you should air these complaints. You'll get no sympathy from us.

You speak for all ehhh Grizz? Look the Moderator position needs defined so that they themselves arent allowed to abuse the position, but you cant tell what that is now can you! It seems that all of you are very ready to lay down and accept whatever is handed out just so you can play this game, I on the other hand am not afraid to air it out and get it laid out so that it can be applied fairly to all, in its current condition that cant happen, if your all to blinded to see that then you will richly deserve what you get. Moderators can and have abused their power and thats simply because its open ended. If they bounce me outta here so be it, but I will say my peice, if ya dont uinderstand it, dont like it or what ever thats ok, its of no import to me, but for a company to allow this to go on is no good for the community at large and you are not even remotely a cross section of AH and neither am I but I took the shot ! All of you have made it apparent your willing to lay down and take dictation even though you pay for it I guess that means you should have no input on how the community is handled. To set you highbrows straight I havent often ran into a problem with this Moderator grinch but I did tonite and it was absolutely stupid on the Moderators part, we were discussing freedom, a certain player was getting called down by a fairly large group, I simply pointed out that he had a right to his opinion and that is part of what our service to the country was all about, it was then I was told I was disrupting game play! A text buffer disrupts game play, now theres and interesting point. So I the said we needed to dissolve the moderators position, muted again, cant say what ya think, cant disrupt game play with a text buffer, this is stupid, this is Moderator abuse, Moderator input wasnt needed here, there wasnt any foul language, any rude behaviour etc, attitudes wer being expressed, was it the right so called forum maybe not but who cares it wasnt offensive to anyone but this Moderator just had to exercise the position and this is what my gripe is define so we dont have this kind of crap. HTC dont want to define it because they want a sitter to look after you so that they dont have to be bothered with their business! And in fact Grizz with this Moderator a good majority did have a problem, but you just cant manage to see that from your high moral ground. I guess that being muted tonite for the first time in the 3 or 4 years of playing this game must make me one of the more abusive and offensive players no doubt, the gall to bring up an issue like this is so foreign to the rest of you that you need to make personal attacks rather that just to address the issue I brought up, so online your stellar little people but here in the BBS you can let your hair down and let the real you shine !!!

I've been muted a handful of times... deserved  every one.  IMHO the moderators do a fair job; all the while, as far as I know, with no reward... and occasional abuse to boot.

I just don't understand why people care if they get muted.  So ya lose 10 minutes of chat time... learn a lesson so you don't make the mistake again.  I'm not saying moerators are infallible... what moderator in any game/sport is?

If getting muted burns you so badly... perhaps you should consider spending time in a chat room that sets no boundaries on language.

I think moderators should not only be allowed to abuse the position, but they should be encouraged to do so.

Steve how dod happen to pop into your mind that I got muted for language, the assumptions you people make is appalling, and some are very easily entertained ! HTC define the limits of what the Moderator operates under !

Lol, you did get muted for language.  You sure didn't get muted for spilling pop on your keyboard.  I said "language".. not vulgarity.

Speaking of assuming... lol!  While I'm not appalled that you assumed by "language"  I meant "vulgarity, I AM amused at the irony.

Another easily entertained individual I wonder what that implys!! Hmmm simple comes to mind, since u went from general to specific yes you could say language, gee we all use it isnt that  an interesting idea, and its no surprise you have been muted, and as to learning apparently since it happened more that once to you the process must be slow for you, care to keep gettin cute, or how bout just sticking to the subject of HTC limiting what the Moderator can respond to. HTC define the role of the Moderator for all to see, come clean!

If you want a guideline of what the moderators operate under, read the TOS.  As long as you don't violate the TOS, you shouldn't have to worry about being actioned by the moderators.

ACK-ACK I have read the TOS several times before I launched into this and it to is wide open, section 11 ( parapharse) in the sole opinion of htc system abuse has occured, it doesnt define a thing to me, just says we will do what we like, kinda like KB goin to work and told your fired, we aint gonna tell ya why just in our opininon we can do without ya, no recourse, no nothin just cause we can. But thanks for the replys ACK-ACK, since only the smartass component of the community is replying this is pretty much useless, you on the other hand at least tried and I thank you. I just keep e-mailing HTC for a better resolution.

Plain and simple, if you object to the moderator, film it, and send it to HTC. He will make a decision what is right and wrong by the actions of the moderator. If you do not get the resolution you like, either quit or go start your own massively multiplayer online world war 2 flying game. so.............
