Don't see how sprucing up the cockpits or engine artwork could have much of an impact on FPS, how are your FPS's when using a ZEKE, 109, LANC, or YAK?
Should be about the same I'd imagine.

I know how badly you wish to play Aces High, as it is an awesome game, however, your jealousy taints every reply/post ya make. It  is overpowering, and does your case for AH Mac support no good.

HTC may someday port to MACINTOSH, but until that happens you merely appear the fool with such assine statements.

Try not to be such an ass, take the medication the doctor prescribed to ya, go play your 2d graphics Warbirds, avoid the UFOs, black helicopters, those nice men in white jackets carring big butterfly nets, put on the tinfoil hat they gave ya to block the voices/transmissions from planet X, and if ya really, really wanna play Aces High, buy a IBM compatible PC.

Also U should be glad that you haven't pissed anyone off enough that they "NUKE" your mailbox.

 If you want better artwork, you need more polygons and more complex lighting effects. That would kill the frame rate.

 Privately, I am all for it because I can afford buying top-off the line  video card or the whole system if I have a reason for that.
 But I would not like to fly in an empty arena and see Hitech's children starve...

 Some compromise is in order. Have to be patient.

I think you misunderstand me, I don't want a CFS2 like graphics engine in AH, I merely want some of the older BETA type cockpits redone to bring em up to current standards.

Seriously look at say the YAK cockpit compared to the La5 cockpit.

As for buying new hardware after I bought this system, I don't think the wifey-poo is gonna tolerate me upgradin' anytime soon  

The system I am currently using, an Intel PIII 733 (oc'd to 770 @140FSB) with 128 meg of 133mhz RAM, 10gig hard-drive, AGP-V7700 GeForce2 GTS Deluxe 32 meg videocard (video in/out for making Aces High movies  ), 19" (18" viewable) .26mm dot pitch non-interlaced EV900 monitor, CreativeLabs SB PCI-128 soundcard w/Altec Lansing ACS41 speakers connected to FRONT LINEOUT
and BOSE book shelf speakers connected through a 200w Pioneer amplifier on the BACK LINEOUT, 56k 3com winmodem, Saitek X-36 USB joystick and USB CH Pro rudder pedals, 25x CDR-W side-by-side with a 50x cdrom, HP      Scanjet 5p scanner, and a Epson Stylus 800 printer.

God I love my PC

milnko, Nate and I have been wanting to go back to our older moldels and redo them a bit.  This won't necessarily hit fps because Nate and I have improved our modelling skills greatly in the past year.  It would consist more of making better use of the textures with very minimal polygonal changes.  We plan on doing it sometime in the future, but "When?" is a question that I cannot answer.

See she doesn't use my system (she has her own P2/300) but she knows ifin we swapped I'd upgrade and spend more of her hard earned money. (yes, I have a job, but all the money I make is HERS)

That's great news, Superfly. I think the La5fn has the most "primitive" cockpit art of the entire set. Can't wait to see the new, improved version!  

Btw, the JU-88 cockpit art is stunning!
