Found the same problem with the Spit IX. Have not been able to get it off the ground but one time. Can not even keep it on the runway. The Me-109 which should have a tough time taking off was the easiest of them all to get off the ground. On line Frame rates were ok, but took a big hit with only six planes in the air. During combat runs, I would get lockups that would last 3-5 seconds. Also on the P-51D and Spit IX there is no visible prop on the plane before engine start. How ever does show up after shut down. I watched an outside view during take off on the Spit IX, and the plane was sliding sideways like it was on ice. Rudder correction for torque causes wings to flip flop with no real lateral control. Once nose goes to the left, even full right rudder will not straighten it out, but starts the wild flip flopping till gear collapses.
