Before you or those you know in the business did their very first gig, was it all about the money then, or was it a change from what you were doing? Were you more enthusiastic about your job at the beginning or now? Never tried to imply that one did their job for free. Whatever the job, there usually is more enthusiasm despite the entry level pay.
A construction worker starting his new job usually has more enthusiasm for his job despite being paid less. Never said he was working for free and didn't mean to imply that you got into stripping without getting a paycheck.

I was stuck in Salt Lake City and couldn't find work because Mormons don't like 28 year old females who are unmarried. Utah is better now but then it was a closed society. I had no choice. It was homeless shelter or stripping. I needed to pay the rent.
