this makes me wonder WTF is wrong with people sometimes.
The father may/may not be beating the kid, the kid killed the toddler, an adoptive mother is in mourning, and the kid is getting sent off to a mental hospital as if he's actually got a chance at being rehabilitated. Based on what I read in this story, the kid appears to be have some sort of mental disorder and no sense of right or wrong - the toddler was bothering him about the scooter so the kid killed the toddler. I think the kid is too far gone to be saved.
