What has happened to the CT? It used to be the sanctuary of air combat and fair play that AH players could retreat to when the MA dweebery got too bad. Now it even WORSE than the MA with suicidedweebs porking VHs and numbers always favouring the USN with about 2:1.

What happened? :(

Buncha newbs on Scholz and the allies aren't reignin em in so...

You get stuff like wave after wave of suicide JABOs porking fields and fleet admirals stacking their fleets to create massively insane walls of AAA. Saw 3 allied fleets stacked near A13 today 46 rounds of puff ack per salvo. For hell of it I flew a Zeke into it at 10k. From 1st round to death was 9 seconds.

Hell ... good for them! Stay away from those paper fleets shootin' mega-death puffs! I wouldn't reign `em in, either. If it keeps my F4U birdfarm floating and closer than the South Pole to the fight, I'm all for it. :D

Don't be a spoiled sport. You either take the fight to the enemy or they take it to you. When waves of Peggies throw themselves at the fleet (quite often dying in the process) it's up to the Allied CAP to get in between them and the fleet and do their best to knock em down (again ... quite often dying in the process).

I'm sure the same can be done visa versa. Can't it? :D

Don't be a dweeb Arlo. Right now the Japanese are the gangers. Why isn't there ANY control of the player community? Forced side balance? The lack of policing this game is the main reason it has deteriorated into this. What once was a great simulator with air combat is now just a psudo-strategy game.

I'm not the one being a dweeb right now, G. You're whining over stuff that's silly. You really want Brady or any other staffer to force players to keep sides perfectly even? To stop players from devising strategies (whether well or poorly executed) that you find offensive?

*chuckle* Gimme a break. Better yet, you take one. Go have a beer. Get laid. Loosen up. Come back and jump in and have fun and stop worrying so much about math and manners. ;)

Yes, tell me it's all in my head. You haven't noticed that "game play" has changed the last year? It used to be good.

Why not? Nearly every MMOG out there polices its players. "Unsportsmanship" and vultching is for instance not accepted in Fighter Ace. HTC is already policing this game's comunication, why not behavior also?

It's still good! Players adapt to the enviroment they're in the best way they can. If you want "perfectly balanced numbers" or "fair play" or any of that crap, go join a bridge club. And I sure as hell don't know what CT arena you were in last year but the one I was in had fluctuating numbers, HO dweebs, gangbangs, milkrunners, suicide porkers, shallow water admirals, land-grabbers and spawn campers. I think the perfect world you saw WAS all in your head.

Now ... you gonna take my advice, step back, relax, take a deep breath and give it your best without taking it all personal or are you gonna be pissed off until things change back the way you think they used to be (which they won't)? :D

Either way, the CT will be the CT. The reason it's not the MA aren't the reasons you apparently think. Maybe you're thinking of the DA.

p.s. And I'm actually trying to give good advice to ya because I think you're worth my time.

The kind of controls you seek are only available (to some degree) in the SEA events.

The CT is still an arena, and as such there is little they can do to "govern" behavior.

Oh I feel so privileged, I'm worth Arlo's time!

The CT (or MA for that matter) wasn't perfect one year ago, but it wasn't so focussed on "strat" like it is now. There were gangbaging and porking and suicidedweebery, but not to the shameful extent we see now. There is nothing wrong with the "strat" concept as long as it is conducted the right way. In the CT ppl ACTUALLY tried to keep some balance. I don't see why HTC can't set SOME rules down to govern what is acceptable behaviour and what is not. ALL multiplayer communities I've been a part of has had some rules (apart from not cheating).

AH was an AIR COMBAT SIMULATOR. Now it's just a GAME. It's either Air Quake or a C&C Tank Rush in the air.
