Do I hear $9.95 ????

Wow...

This is pretty amazing.  I don't believe I slammed warbirds at all.  I simply stated facts.  If any were in error, please let me know.

I'm not trying to dog the WB community or the TW community, but find it odd that both have come in here touting the superiority of their game in some aspect... expecting no response.

Not a request to check it out, but a "this is what's better about our game..." statements.

And banana... I don't pretend to speak for the AH community.  I speak for myself.  As far as I can tell, you're the only one that has entered this thread pretending to speak for a community.

Baxl/banana/trumpet/Strumpet

you have access to DOA3 right now with a paid subscription.  It shows up as a "Flanders" arena when you get to the arena list.
For WWI fans, they like it a lot - but I've rarely seen more than 15 people in the arena - and usually less than 10.  But, I have fairly homogeneous flying times (late night PST) and numbers might be better at other times.

As far as when it gets released - not sure.  You'd have to ask the iEN guys that question, though at first blush, I would assume so.

Let me make things clear for you.

I was talking about the "Warbirds Main Arena" vs the "Warbirds WWII Arena"

Not "Warbirds Main Arena" vs "Aces High Main Arena" The same goes for the CT vs the WWIIA.

If you take a look at the first sentence of my post it says that AH has more numbers.

Read a little closer next time

The percentage deals with those that like all planes available all the time vs those that like an RPS.

Sheesh

Maybe you should try the same helllo.  The CT arena has the numbers that any WB III arena has.  It's that simple.

Feel free to call it "not very popular".  Just don't pretend it says anything other than that type of gameplay isn not prefered by most... no matter where it is.  Basically, the AH main is an equally prefered choice for most over the CT and WB3.

Apples and Oranges, AH and WB two different animals. I understand your point that you think that the AH Main is the most preferred type of game play, period.

I disagree to the point that it does not apply to the average Warbirds player. Warbirds is taking a different path then AH, is that wrong? The Warbirds Main Arena is very similar to the AH Main. But the WB main is empty! go figure. According to you it should be the most popular.

LOL BB Gun!

I know I look like I have an identity crisis going on, but in WWIIOL I was unable to get either banana or Bax, my current AH and former WB callsigns.

I'm going to see if either Trumpet or banana is available at iEN, and take one of those if they are for my new WB account. -baxl- is retired forever.

Sorry Mini-D, didn't mean to jump all over you like I did. My apologies. I just wanted Kekule to know that there are many old Warbirders over here, and I appreciated that he took the time to post this thread.

You are forgetting one simple thing.  WB shut down the main in an attempt to push the WW2 arena.  When the numbers moved there, those wanting an MA moved elsewhere.  The numbers never recovered and all warbirds was left with was those liking the WW2 arena.  It's exactly why WBs still struggles to get numbers.  As long as the WW2 arena is the only populated area in WB, they will struggle to get new subscriptions.

As many people like the CT in AH as much as  like WB right now.  If AH were to shut down the MA and force everyone to the CT... what do you think would happen?

It's not about what players are left and what they prefer.  It's about getting new customers.  It's a tough one for the WB diehards to accept, but you guys are going to have to or there won't be any real improvements to WB or it's numbers for some time.

I think it had more to do with the price than the gameplay.

I know you do... that's why you're still there.  Time will tell if you are right since price is no longer the issue.

But then... I didn't introduce the "gameplay" discussion to this thread either.

I was there... they shut down the main arena and you could only fly the idiotic and boring WWII arena for a month or so..  that was about the last straw for a lot of us and we left....

I like flying early war planes but I like flying any early war plane against any other.   in WWII arena every plane, enemy or friendly acts exactly the same.... there is no variety to the fights... the 109's do the 109 move and the spits do the spit move and everyone learns it the first day of the RPS for those planes (if they have the skills of even a lap dog) and then it is the same ol thing over and over until the next part of the rps where you have 2-5 other planes to "learn"   no variety...  the german planes allways do german things... the brit planes allways do brit things and the jap planes allways do the jap thing... doesn't matter where in the RPS... you allways face the same fight... just faster or slower.

mini is right... the reason we have as many in the CT as you have in your main is because.... there are only so many players in the world who can take that lack of variety for any length of time.

I jump in the CT from time to time when there is a particularly close matchup (about 10% of the time) and do it for a day or so but... it gets old fast doing the same moves against the same moves over and over.

WB is one big CT... it better be darn cheap.

I do hope our toolshed battlers will go there tho.  Perfect for them, It seems like they lack the boredom gene.
