A RW question...
« on: December 20, 1999, 08:32:00 PM »
I tried posting this on RW's bb, but no luck, so...I thought I'd run it by you guys

RW won't recognize my mic, yet windows sound recorder works great.  When I do a mic test, I hear bits coming through the speakers, but nothing is recorded.  I have an Aopen FX-3D plus (full duplex) sound card.  Has anyone experienced this, if so....what did you do?

thanks,
IC

Iculus,
I have that sound card.  Everytime I start-up RW, I have to hit the sound panel, hit properties, click the record button and then click the mic button in that window.  After that it works fine.  This only started after one of the last RW upgrades.

Make sure you send a bug report to resounding so they can try to address the problem.  Let them know what doesn't work and what you're having to do to get around the problem.

I know you posted it on the BBS, but I think there's a different support or bug email address or some way to report problems like this.

Thanks for the help guys...after many frustrating hours of "mic testing".  I reinstalled the drivers, and everything seems to work!   ....so far

Cobra, have you tried reinstalling your drivers?  I might solve your problem...then again, it might make matters worse...

Thanks again,

IC
