No suntracker... that is not true and is part of the problem.

Being a seal might matter on a resume, but it isn't a "he must know his ****" card.  It's not like everyone will stop in the middle of a situation and say "let's see what the seal has to say".  There's a real good reason why it's a group of airsoft players that are being discussed here.

Someone lieing about being a seal is no more or less dangerous than someone simply assuming someone would be good at a job because they were a seal.  It's just not how things work.

I can understand how some of these Seals feel. They worked very hard to become and stay a Seal making many sacrifices I'm sure. To have some hugahunk falsely claim association sullies their reputation.

He's having dillusions again.  Someone did tell him he was dishonorably discharged, which he somehow has twisted into "Skuzzy is punishing me because he thinks I was dishonorably discharged", when in reality he's on probation for acting like an ass.

Actually if you look at their Wall of Shame you'll see alot of those guys are using their fake SEAL experience to be granted positions in National Guards, local Veterans' groups and even get hired as trainers for Law Enforcement. It's more than just a drunk making crap up in a bar.

It was me.

I was making a point, and carried it too far.  That's why I'm on probation.  I didn't need "notice".  The reason was evident to me.  I'm glad I wasn't outright banned.

The point was he continually calls Bush a deserter, when there is no proof to that effect.  When I said that, I was asked to prove he didn't desert.  As we all know, it's next to impossible to prove a negative.

So I said LDV was dishonorably discharged.  He got all wound up, as expected, and flew off the handle.  The madder he got, the more I accused him of being dishonorable discharged.

My point was, yep, it does suck to have your service brought into question and accusations made against you without proof.  I think the point was well made, too.

And yes, I'm now a civilian, but I wasn't always.
