Turn off tracers. They'll never know you're shooting from the tail until you start to land hits.

on TBM's

but im not saying its hard to kill a TBM doing this defence

im just saying what the best defence from the tail is in a single ENG bomber

Not to mention one of the TBMs bugs is it can shoot thru its vertical stabilizer. No interuped fire like others.

Unless that was also fixed when it was pulled from rotation, havent flown it since it came back.

Also the TBMs arc of fire can allow it to shoot 90 degrees to its sides suprising unknowing fighters that try to slip past alittle to close.

you do know the TBM has a .30 cal machine gun in the lower tail

so was just thinking that could be whats you think is shooting thru its vertical stabilizer
