In WB i was never able to use the SW profiler because there is only one level of views. If you press the shift key you still have the same views. Luckyly WB had stick set 1,2,3,4, and I could use those. I can find nothing in AH that would allow me to access the secend level of views, right up back up left up and so forth. Is there any way to use my stick in AH.

I have the same stick, TT.  I think I may have to go through the AH stick setup and wipe out any reference to the stick so that the SPP stuff can handle it... 'cause after making a setup, I got some wacky results in AH.  I think my biggest problem is not knowing which button is what # on the stick.  With the SPP profiler, it's visual, which makes things easier on me.

I'll try more tonight and see what I can come up with.

I tried mapping the shift 5 button for up. It sort of works. But you have to double push buttons to move around. And the program dont like it . I kept getting stuck in  all sorts of odd views. had to bail to reset. This game really needs a toggel views button for the SW sticks.

Same stick here!  I also can't get a button to work with the "UP" view.  I tried programing the key_pad 5 button.  Won't work?  However, I can look left or ay other view and hit Key_Pad 5 on the keyboard keypad and it works fine.  Wonder why the dang stick won't take the Key_Pad 5 programing??

I have all my views working great with my sidwinder presision pro. I mapped the C button "7" as my up view. I then used the profiler to map 9,3,1,and 7 for the inbetween views. SO when using the hat I have all 8 views, and when using the hat and pressing the C or #7 button I have all 8 views in the up position. The only buttons you need the profiler for are the other 4 positions on your hat, up view can be done in the game itself. Worked for me. I even started playing around with the MS profiler so when using the shift key with the other buttons I have full head movment on my stick. Works good except using the stick buttons for this purpose tends to freeze all head movment, even keyboard untill I reset the game. I dont think it would be much use in a dogfight but its neat to peek around your headrest in flight

rosco is right, I have a similar configuration. The "UP" key has to be mapped with AH, the coolie-hat-views are mapped with the profiler. So when you press the UP-key you can simoultanously press "left"-coolie-hat to look up and left.

Another problem is if you are pressing a key on the base you cannot use another key . Such as flaps, trim. and it is very awkward to toggel views, for examle up, to foward up, back to up.

Awkward is why we have j-sticks with many buttons.  Rosco's solution aside, we need one handed control.

OK I have done the same thing!.  I use the "6" button for "UP" using AHJS Mapper.  Then I programed all the views to my profiler Using Key_pad 5 button for up on the profiler.  This gives me all the up views for every view and when I take the Hat to the up view it gives me foward up without using the button.
