if you work somewhere that allows browsing of gaming sites, or doesn't track intardnet usage.

True the FM does suck, but imho with a true ground war going on below adds to the flight environment, totally different to AH especially the MA which is just one big quake arena.

Personally I have too much fun with the ground war to spend time in the air. Especially when you get involved with a squad.

You call me Quaker? Wrong one kid. Voted WW2OL :) As a massively multiplayer game it is way ahead of AH - and offers a great flight simulator as well.

Maybe you should actually spend the two weeks in the game and see what it has to offer.

I don't think there's any denying the concept of WW2OL is very idealistic and good.

Last time I've heard from ol' friends who went over to WW2OL from AH, the ideal was still struggling against reality. Seems as if albeit slowly, after many years since the WW2OL came out, WW2OL is starting to take place.

Sure they have sucky FM, but they have a good ground warfare.

So, what if they put in a better FM?
Could AH counter it with a better groundwar?

It'd be interesting to see what happens in about five years :)

But until then, I'm still gonna play AH, and AH2 :)

Grendel......in responce to your statement

"Maybe you should spend at least two weeks there"

I did....I bought the whole thing hook line and sinker when it first came out.  It was the most buggy, the most unusable...the most overated piece of Coaster Material ever unleashed on a naive PC Gamer Market.

I had trouble logging on.....when I did took forever to do what I wanted...the graphics sucked....the system requirements stated on the Box were much higher then they advertised.

In short....whenever a software company blatently lies, unleashes a game that was no where near readiness, did not live up to the hype...and only released it under pressure probably to recoup some development money...it will never get my respect for it's underhanded way of marketing, and taking the publics money.

The Rat is just that...a Rat....and won't get any of my business, kudos, or my money.  Thankfully the Software Store from which I purchased WWIIOL took it back and refunded the money...and they took back and refunded a lot.

Not to mention the downloading of patches that those who kept the game had to do to even log on for 10 minutes.  And the patches were many. Oh...and let's not forget the memory upgrade that had to be made.

When I downloaded Aces High...guess what...Lo and Behold it worked.  Something I understand doesn't happen with regularity at WWIIOL to this day.

Does this gametek pole mean a damned thing? I mean ... like ... do the voters of the winning game get to gloat that they voted better than the voters of the losing ones or something? Will HTC get some sort of game subsidy and pass it on to us if they win? I don't see a reason to get all excited or anxious or anything over this. *ShruG*
