Speaking of Chevrolets..anyone know the name of the Yellow truck/car thing that pulls a reverse at 60mph onto a car hauler in the Chevy commercial.  2004 El Camino? lol

I've seen three so far. All of em about 46k. Pretty tight little truck. I didn't think I was going to like it until I got up close and sat in one.

You've gotten closer to one than I have, then.  The only one I've seen up close and in person was the purple mock-up at the auto shows.  It was up on a platform with a model babe acting as security to keep people from touching the paint.

SSR is pretty sweet, for a while I couldn't decide on which to get. It was either wait for the SSR or buy my current truck. I'm glad I bought what I did. I wouldn't be able to have this kind of fun in an SSR. :D

Nothing "little" about the SSR.  Almost 5000 lbs worth of road-whale (road-sloth?) and room for only two people and not much cargo.  Worst space efficiency I have seen from GM, and that is saying something.  A sign of impending doom for the domestic auto industry.

PS Acid as much as I dislike the H2, you made the right choice, big time.

The saddest part of all is GM used to the opposite, Funked.  My 1990 Caddy has a mammoth interior (the BACK seat has more legroom than most cars FRONT seats), yet the car weighs in at a rather modest 3400 pounds.   This is comparible to something like a Subaru WRX, which has considerably less space for its occupants and still weighs better than 3000 pounds.  

For additional comparison, a Ford Taurus weighs within 100 poinds of my Cadillac (a little over 3300 for a Taurus), yet is a much smaller car inside.  Heck, the poor Ford doesn't even get the V-8  that my Caddy has to lug around....that probably explains most of the weight difference.

Where is that weight going?   I have nothing against large cars, if there's a POINT to it.....however, too many new designs seem to be gaining weight for absolutely no reason.  I swear, the domestic automakers (especially GM) are determined to run themselves into the ground.  Weight-gaining and price inflation aside, most of the newer models are butt-ugly too.
