I played Nascar 1&2 and some other racing games, none of them offered the option to do split screen.

I don't know of any games made specifically for the PC that can do split screen... aren't most fighting games simply arcade machine ports that run on emulators?

All games bore me these days.

Only one game will hold my attention... an online version of Pirates. Now that would be a game - I'm signed to play a version at the moment but can't get it to work.

Roman Total War could potentially be a new game that will hold my attention.

Single player FPS games are so dull after you get over the pretty graphics.

The HL2 engine used in some kind of DoD thing would probably be the best game ever.

lol I was just about to edit my post, mate. :D

I haven't tried it - I saw a non-interactive demo posted on fileplanet some time ago. Is there a playable demo out?

It is amazing. Smooth too on the ATI 9600 and 9800 cards. Thought the Demo I played was over 700 meg though. Diff versions out?

I remember a game that I used to play with about 250 other folks, plotting and strategizing, on enemy movements/plans for attack..... Intercepting and eliminating the evil oposition where they stood... every friday, and weekends..... can't remember the name of it now... it was a combat flight sim, and the gameplay was smooth...
---
General assesments...

1) FPS play much better with a mouse and keyboard configuration...

2) Console games are MUCH more stable.

3) PC games provide much more variety.

4) Multiplayer is HUGE advantage for PC games... if you don't play other people you're not playing.

5) Console system aren't as expensive as a PC, and at a fraction of the cost they run just as well.... they're engineered for performance (no fluff programs) ::cough:: Windows OS.

6) There is a  STANDARD for a console..... the console it self... PC's are the Frankenstien Projects come to life.... mix and match till it works right

7) Cheating much more detrimental to the gaming enviroment of PC on-line play.

8) Like I said in #4.... nothing beats playing against other people and I thought it was worth a note.

I agree on all points other than if Far Cry is what games are fastly becoming, and a reality amazingly enough ala the Demo, the water graphics are getting so realistic, I could completley enjoy a Sub/Navy Sim in single player.  That's worth noting.

Of course MP is always better if it works.
