There's way too much animosity between the US, UK and France these days.

I propose a grass roots love in, where we, the Americans and Brits post something we each like about France and her people.

I believe this will help heal the wounds the recent political climate has caused.

I'll go first....

France has one of the most magnificent art museums in the world, the Leuvre (Please excuse the spelling)

Nice, particularly the Estrellita de Mer.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Ah, mon dieu.....
The food ;)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

A most beautiful city. Paris and wonderful museums.
I spent a week there 3 years ago and had a great time.

Getting ice for a drink, well that is a bit of work.:D

im guessing you have never been outside of north america muckmaw. Comming across ice in your drinks is like finding gold in a river. Extremely rare.

I was actually in Italy for 2 weeks back around 1991.

I don't remember the lack of ice, but it's most likely a small detail I forgot all about.

What I do remember being strange is the breakfasts in Italy.

Many of the hotels served Ham and cheese sandwiches.

Strange to me.....

I spent alot of time in the carribean too, but I think they had ice.
