I poop in your general direction.
It's not about the penalties, it's about making plays and overcoming them. That offensive interference penalty on Troy Brown was suspect, but you know what? There is nothing you can do about it. Do you give up and stop trying, or do you step up and make a play to overcome it?
Brown comes back and makes a great catch. You can make excuses, or you can make plays. That's what separates the superbowl contenders from the 4-12's.
Am I rubbing it in? Yeah. I have had to listen to Raiders fans cry about officiating and dismiss what the Patriots have accomplished for two years. This is sweet.
I'm still up watching highlights, waiting for the newspapers to hit the store(in about 2 hours). I have the Globe and Herald from their first superbowl in good condition, but the box of wheaties got sat on by my 5 year old, doh!(at least she didn't open it)
But the one thing that bothers me is now the Brady/Montana comparisons will continue. He has a few more superbowls to win before that can happen.
On a side note, Joe Klecko got to watch his son win a superbowl in his rookie season. I thought that was pretty cool. Dan is always being told he will never be as good as his dad, and i'm sure Joe thought that was pretty unfair. I'm sure the next time the comparison is made, Joe will say " hey, he won a superbowl, I never did".
The Patriots have 2 picks in the 1st round, 2 picks in the second round, and two picks in the fourth round in the upcoming draft.
Chris Berman picked the Pats to win the superbowl before the season.
Rush Limbaugh picked the Pats to be in it (but lose to the Bucs)
The Patriots, two superbowls in three years, woulda thunk it?
