Actually, if it’s a long time girlfriend, it has nothing to do with getting laid for the evening. It’s more making sure you get laid again, and often. They just want the effort.  For cheap, can’t say I was wrong, but Dinger seems to have a better and more impressive alternative. Hell, I'd date him with that dinner.

And Dinger, if you’re a bachelor, last year I went to a sports bar on night shift for lunch, and there were some very drunk, very vocal gals grouped up talking about their EX’s. Apparently lonely, and ripe pickens. Might need a wingman for that though. One to hit on the Fat chick to make the good looking hags jealous, one to buy drinks for the cockblocker.

Don't do a dinner. Take her on a picnic. Do the day as a total immersion, nice walk in good suuroundings. Light but tastysnacks in the basket. A bottle of bubbly or a nice light table wine. Do something that you might find in one of those tabloid magazines in the store. (Not the ailen abduction ones either!)

Great idea Goose, 52 degree forecast, 8 mph winds to boot. No thanks, that's no picnic, unless your an eskimo, and a bit chilly to be getting down after you get her drunk on champagne. Not to mention the cab driver would get pricey and bored watching PF try and get all sweet. Unless your a mad drunk driver then mrblack will be on the jury and you'll get the chair.

Make the Dinger upscale cheezy poofs and meats served under candle light in the comfy livingroom and bust out the cheerleader outfit surprise for her later.

Here's one I used on my wife.  Go to Subway and pick up a couple meatball subs.  Set the table with a couple candles and put on some soft music with the lights low.  Tell her you couldn't afford Italy so you got as close as you could.  Cheezy, yes, but you'll get laid for sure.  :D

I subscribe to Dinger's interpretation.

1) Take one frozen Margherita Pizza

2) A handful of chopped red peppers

3) Spell out "I would like a fcuk tonight" with the red peppers

4) Put in oven

Shows thoughtfulness, creativity and imagination. You can practically take it to the bank. This has a 100% success rate with me (tried once, succeeded once). But then I am hung like a race-horse with twice the stamina.
