Zone Alarm, Alt-Tab problems w/AHII
« on: February 12, 2004, 10:51:51 AM »
If you're using Zone Alarm firewall software, beware that it is somewhat troublesome when running AHII Beta 13 on-line for the first time.  When zone alarm pops up, it freezes AHII but hides the mouse cursor (at least in WinXP Pro).  I had to use ctrl-alt-del to bring up Task Manager, then select Zone Alarm from the list of applications and then click on "Switch to".  At that point, I was able to access the Zone Alarm buttons I needed to tell it to allow AHII to access the internet, after checking the box to not ask me again for AHII.

BTW, AHII will not allow me to alt-tab out of it to access other programs running concurently with AHII.  The AHII screen freezes, but does not minimze to show the Windows desktop.

I had the same problem with alt-tabbing out when AH2 first came out. Try hitting your windows key, worked for me.

Not everyone has a "windows" key...seems like a bug that
 needs to be squashed...
