I was in the MA this arena trying to help a new player (Dashaun) while flying with my squad on our Squad Night.  I had been helping him for some time, chatting on the country channel to him and also chatting on our Squad channel.... I think I was also chatting to someone on a private channel at the same time.

Suddenly I got a box up in front of me giving me a warning for Profanity!!!  So, what did I do to deserve this???  I am a respectable player, and indeed used to be one of the volunteer staff in Air Warrior (so helping newbies seems sort of natural to me) and never use any kind of bad language!  So, why did I get this warning?  Are they automatic, triggered by something I (mis?-)typed?  Or are they sent manually by someone who just didn't like what I was saying for some reason?  I can only think I mistyped something, but would appreciate clarification on this issue as I don't wish this event to be repeated!

Any idea if it is possible to find out exactly what caused this to happen?  I would be very interested to know!

Yes Flossy, but somewhere in your *permanent record* there is now a checkmark next to "uses profanity in the arena".

Also they can cross check your *permanant record* from AW and they'll find out you just got a TOS warning last month from EA.

You are beginning to look a potty mouth, you know.  <EG>

LOL Ratbo!  Thanks for reminding me about that!!  My TOS warning for telling the truth, and including an link which apparently made my message Unacceptable Discussion!     :rolleyes:  I think the EA employees just couldn't face up to the facts!      :)

Ya know what?  Now I'm really curiose.  Just as I posted that little "gotcha" I rememberd just a few nights ago, royally cussing out some moron over my squad channell.  Mind you, I rarely go off like that, but I went OFF.  I never got a warning.

You have to spell the curse words correctly before they become curse words to the profanity filter.  :)

I once forgot letter "f" in a word Shift, when helping some of newbies  :) May be your case too.
