I understand the CV's will be player controlled.  PT boats would be nice, kinda P-51 on water with B-17 firepower heheee

Staying with AH, Wb thing of the past now, but will have to checkout wwiionline whenever it gets going.  Want to give the early war U-boot campaign a try.

I left WB because the unrealistic gunnery model always bothered me, and when AH came along (and I could afford it) there was just no contest. I couldn't go back to WB.

I left AH because of a sense of isolation (my squad stayed in WB) and because the endless cheap trash-talk in the MA gradually eroded my enjoyment of AH to the point where I
couldn't justify the $43 (CDN) monthly fee anymore. I miss the flying and the classy gents who make up the slim majority of players in AH, but not the grunge-talk and poor sportsmanship of the whiskey-delta vocal minority. I'm sure I will not be missed....

Flew WB from v.91 until 2.0. Left because of price, nothing more. It was still, for the most part, owned and run by HiTech, Pyro and the rest of the old gang. Customer support was still exceptional and there was no real reason for leaving as the game was amazing and connections were good for the time. Of course this was before the net being flooded with new people due to flat rate pricing. Anyways, no I won't fly WB even if it goes flat rate. AH came out and I thought "Wow, HT and gang are back at it again." Well sorta, just Pyro left of the old crew I knew. Still, turned out an excellent product in short time and it will never get old.

So no on trying WB for flat rate or even for free. It's the quality and HTC's excellent abilities that I will follow, not some gimmick. Even WBIII, sure that terrain system looks nice.... that's about it tho! ;-)

Hmm I'd be in the hard-core WBer class and I ain't going back. I was there from the CK days.

I left because (in order of importance):
 - connect problems
 - server problems (remember when the servers kept falling over)
 - complete ignorance, denial and unresponsiveness of IEN to these problems
 - IENs lousy customer service
 - Whats new (NOTHING for months and months)
 - IENs attitude to flat rate (ie, if you don't like $$$/hour then f**k off)
 - IEN continuing to bill me after I closed my account

I am staying here because:
 - HTC were the WB I originally got hooked on
 - Flat Rate
 - Theres no end in sight to the development of AH
 - HTC crew rock
 - AH rocks
 - I can run AH in 1600x1200 ( 8) )

Will have to see what WBIII looks like before can say for sure, but I doubt it. Too fun here and the direction and speed of improvement are good.

As a former Fighter Ops /War Birds (2.5 years) I left a lot of virtual friends on Warbirds due to the two main reasons mentioned above.  Cost and Connection.  I was dumped more than once flying 45 minutes in a special mission and not getting to tgt due to dropping out.  And some serious lag's..  I haven't had that in AH.  Of course there have been days that the connection was not up to normal standards. (Mostly when new release out and everybody downloading).  But my theory is this.  If IEN had listened to our complaints/suggestions the way that HT and company have they would still have me as a customer.  Do I really want to go back and give those guys more of my money?  The 3d cockpits and the ground vehicles are outstanding and this has only been going for a year.  I can't wait to see what is in the future.  I don't give my loyalty easily or quickly, but HTC has been good by me so far.  And I have never been one to ignore somebody who has been good to me just because the kid down the street got a new toy.

Their is always a group that will stand out of the crowd in what they do. HTC stands tall with expirence, and talant! (like they did with WB, till 2.5)

Sure ill take a look at WB3, WW2OL, and anything else that comes along, but im sure it will be hard to see around HTC!

I played WB for two and a half years (and even went to last summer's WBCon), but a month ago, after a few months in AH, I canceled my iEN account. I had planned to keep a minimum WB account until WBIII was released, but after a while I couldn't see the point.

I don't think I'll be back as long as the flight sim remains the same (no multiple USB controllers support, inferior view system etc.), no matter how cheap it becomes. When (if!) WBIII comes out, I'll give it a try, but will I seriously consider moving back to WB?

I doubt it. As it is, only my previous squad kept me flying in WB (they're a great bunch), but in the end it was not enough. (Besides, 308 is a great bunch too!  ) From HTC I get the feeling they care about their customers. From iEN I don't.

I flew WB for over 4 years, my first online flight sim. In my opinion it went downhill fast when the HTC crew left it. I kept both accounts open for a while because I had a squad in WB I really liked but every time I went in there I had the feeling my video card was porked and I was flying in 2d.

No, I wont go back. At least I can't imagine doing so.
