I, for one, don't plan on it, after all, I didn't leave because of the money...rumor has it that the price will be 24.95 unlimited play...

I left because of conx problems not because of the game so unless the conx got better I would never go back.

Want an opinion from someone who never flew WB's online? I kept up with the latest WB's version (up to V2.7x) on my hdd till my reformat about 6 weeks ago. So I know DO know it was like anyway.
The current  WB's is not up to par with AH in any way except number of aircraft.  IMnsHO! AH actually has more player run events now.
Going there, from here,  would not be worth a $5/mo savings. AW3 could be free, WB's could drop to "$10/mo all you can bleat" and I wouldn't. Neither holds any draw for me any more.  Although if I was in the market for some first rate customer disservice then I'd surely consider iEN or EA/Gamestorm.

That puts me in a tough spot.  My main reason for downgrading to a maintenance account was lack of flat rate pricing.  But now that I'm used to 3D cockpits I find I LIKE having a 6-view.   I like using drop tanks.  I love the new terrains coming out,
and the TBF looks like a masterpiece.

My squaddies will expect me back fulltime, but I don't know.   I'll wait til I see what the real deal is.

What's funny is a few folks on AGW think most of our population is made of of ex-WB folks, when indeed it is not.  I've met more FA, AW3, EAW, *New to online flight sims* folks in this sim than I ever met in WB's..so if I were to guess, you *might* get a dozen of the hard core WB'ers going 'back over' to WB's...other than that, I don't see it as a strategic move by iEN, except that strategically their check book balance would be lower.

Only H2H WB
If WB3 got a flat rate I'm gonna check it online. If pay per hour I'll forget it.
Always nice to have a choice

I cannot see myself going back to iEn.
I left because I liked the better graphics in AH.  Tracers that looked like tracers and not little red and yellow dots, awesome sound effects, some of the neatest terrain I have seen yet, all these contributed to my decision to drop iEn and come to AH.  My squad CO, hblair, talked over and over about coming and trying this sim, and once I got into it, I fell in love with it.  I am not always happy with everything that happens in the sim, but who is?
While talking with the people at iEn on the phone the day I canceled my account with them, they asked me if I would consider coming back if they went flat rate.  They then "sweetened" the bait by saying "it will be very soon" that the new version of WB's (WBIII) would be released and a flat rate plan put into effect.
Guys, that was in May, and to my knowledge, they ain't released their "new" version, nor the flat rate plan.
I guess their idea of "soon" and mine are not the same.
If they offered a "free" trial period of the new version, I would likely fly it just for comparison sake.  But to leave HTC and return to iEn, after the way they show absolutely no respect for their customers........not gonna happen.  I will quit flying online altogether first.

I don't think so.

Not only do I feel that the FM or feel of flight in this sim is more closely in tune to that of RL, I have become spoiled with the level of customer service in this Sim.

HTC has responded to many of our interests and desires....I'm like an old dog...Once I'm your pal, I'm always your pal Loyalty some call it...where was WB's for 2 yrs that the sim remained stagnant?

I don't care how wonderful they claim WB3 will be...talk is cheap....HTC has continued to deliver and respond to my needs...for that, they get my money!

I'm Out!

I will give Warbirds III a tryout, but I am very doubtful they'll ever see any more of my money with their non-existant customer support. Ever try and find a human to speak with in their accounts dept? Or try to get them to return a phone call? Took me three weeks of leaving messages before I finally got a hold of a human being there when I wanted to delete my account.

iEN is a joke, at least as far as their customer service goes.

AH is so much better than wb in all but three areas:

1. Scenarios of the S3 calibre
2. larger planeset
3. terrains with rivers, towns, factories, cities covering the landscape in terrains like the NG terrain (which is my favorite wb terrain   ) also shorlines and oceans with smooth transitions

but hopefully this will be remedied by AH by 1.05

everything else is better in AH.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Ex WB pilot here, over 3 years.
But I'm here in AH now & I'm here to stay until I see something much better.

Aces High kick's WB butt in every area except planeset. Strat model is better, and with 1.05 will take another giant step up IMO.

Rock on HTC!
