On the pilot statistics can we add "b*tched" under ditched. I think this is an important measure. Maybe some standard message keys could be added for HO's, phace shots, track stars, gangbangs, numbers, no check 6's. This could be valuable info, for example, if your B/S rate is 1+ maybe your meds should be altered a bit.:)

HO's:     Generally takes two to HO (one may initiate, but both
              must commit).

Phace Shots:  See above, and Websters for correct spelling.

Track stars:    Get off the conga line and go do something
                       productive.

Gangbangs:   What were you doing down there all alone anyway?

Numbers:    Fact is, country numbers are pretty cyclical. Wait for it!

No check six's:  Nice to get when warranted, but really bad to
depend on them.  SA, SA, SA.

If we gonna add another stat to track, how about "whines per sortie".

Earlier this evening, RTR was in a high F4u & HO'ed my 109.  A fun turnfight followed until one of his countrymen jumped in.  After the flight, RTR whined about ***my*** HO on channel 1.

Guess what...if you're higher than your target, YOU are responsible for the HO.  Get a clue.

T-Bolt your right. I did whine about it. Not sure why, I generally don't whine about much, and it was out of character for me.

As for the initial Ho on the mege, You turned into me. However, I admit I certainly didn't turn it down. IIRC we started pretty much co-alt.

I'm not going to go into the mechanics of the fight here, as I am sure we both saw it slightly differently, and it would only serve to cause argument.

But, I do apologise for the comment after the fight Tbolt. As I said it's out of character for me, and it was undeserved.

Well, if whining isn't your usual behavior, I'll write this event off to pre-reset frustrations because you Bish were getting hammered that night.

When I'm slow and auto-climbing, and I see a (what I believe to be a higher - if even slightly higher) F4U bearing down on me, I feel I have little choice but to point my 20mm cannons and fire just as the other guy is doing.  That's how our fight started.  Just a HO as an act of desperation.

Took me a while to get on your six, but I just didn't have enough time in that mess to get a lethal shot.  You're a good Hog driver.

Ty for the compliment TBolt.

Just so's you know. when we ended up close to the deck, I was trying to get away from you. You were close to getting saddled up on me and I was looking for an escape.

Well flown

TBolt, I'm not very well equipped I'm afraid  (oops, boy don't that sound auspicious).

I'm currently using a Logitech Extreme 3D. The rudder pots worn out and spikes pretty badly, so I have disabled the rudder. Kinda makes it hard sometimes to get a clean shot. About the only thing I like about the stick is the ergonomics of it. The rest sucks.

Someday....sigh...

cheers,

Yep, thats what I do too and hope the other guy breaks rather than risk your fire. What other option do you have? If your slow and your opponent has an alt/e advantage, if you go nose down or evasive, you're a duck. Might as well be a duck with teeth.

Since the nme still has an alt/e advantage, the only sane solution for the nme (if the rest of situation allows) is to break and come around for a better shot. You'll still be disadvantaged probably or at least the nme can get a 6 shot.

What other answer is there?

Well, I guess the slower airplane could roll and jig just enough to avoid the bullets.  I doubt we'd succeed very often, though.

P.S.: RTR, you fly well for a guy with no rudder.  lol.
