The combination of horse s@#T fuel resupply model and bases that are too potato peeling far apart make this map one of the worst ever.

Last night 1 guy flew two back to back sorties, one in a 17 and one in a goon and captured a front line base.  What a joke.  Nice job by the pilot but what a joke of a map.

I agree totally laz a little effort could fix this map so everyone could enjoy it, not just the sky accountant cherry pickers.

The one thing I've enjoyed about this map is the near constant CV battles around A1 I've learned a lot about my inabilities as a pilot on this map...:lol

Perhaps someone else would like to speak on Pizza's behalf?

I used to hae that problem when I had dialup.
there is a simple workaround
Turn off power saving mode and
Download long files when you go to bed.

even if for some reason the DL doesnt complete. You've lost nothing cause you were sleeping when you were DLing and wouldnt be on anyway.

As was pointed out in another post. the bases are no farther apart then they are in any other arena.
But even I a pizza map lover agree that there are improvements that could and should  be made to make it more enjoyable for all.
Including color. I dont have problems seeing other planes as others claim. I just think the color or lack there of is boring

What are you talking about?

Who cares about other arenas, were talking about a map in rotation in the MA.  The bases on Pizza Crap are too far apart.  If someone fixed maps like Pizza Crap and did a scaled distance like Fester map then everyone could have fun.  They could do it on one slice and it would be better than it is now.

I would like to see someone move the bases closer together on one of the three slices of Pizza Crap.  Then the sky accountants can fly on the other two and the people that want to fight can fly on the one.  That would be a fair solution and breath new life into this otherwise one sided piece of crap.

LOL NB!  My point is/was that we are paying for AH1 and yet it seems that the standard answer is AH2 will fix it (whatever bug/problem someone posts about). That's not right. :mad:

The canyons are the best aspect of the Pizza Map,  ive used those canyons countless times to save my butt out of a sticky situation.

DREDIOCK, actually, the airfields on pizza are generally set at the maximum allowable distance (30 to 35 miles). Add to that the alts on many of the fields and it does impact playablity. One of the things I didn't realize when I first did Trinity was that you can't count the gv fields when you are setting up your field layout. If you try, you can easily come up with airfields that are more than 50 miles apart, while still maintaining the 35 mile max.

Big Isles is a perfect example of this. In some places, airfields are as much as 70+ miles apart. Frankly, I think Big Isles needs attention much more than the AKDesert.

Your right baddy, they both need to be fixed, but lets fry one fish at  a time.  :D

It's too bad HTC could breath some needed new life back into this game with some simple fixes - a kind of peace offering for so grossly missing the AHII delivery date, I just hope we see AHII soon, I find my enthusiasm to play draining daily every time I log in.  I just ordered IL2 FB because the MA has gotten so bad.  We'll see.

I hate to say it,  but what is this,  the 10th time someone has whined about this pizza map?  AK's did an excellent job in my book,  they were the 1st map makers that wanted to do something for the community,  and they get the upmost respect from me,  even tho a bunch of morons acted like retards and started bashing,  bichin,  and moaning like 11 year old kids about how bad their map was.  I for one enjoy this map,  i can still kill the same,  and have just as much fun as i can on any other map.
