Logged in to the MA about 45 seconds ago. Saw that pizza had been reset, and a children's map was up in its place. Didn't even notice which one, so brief was my stay. Saw that fuel was porked back to 25% at A9 where I had materialised. Logged off immediately. One of my shortest AH sessions, and one of life's easier choices.

Sure seems that everyone hates fuel porking (except peeeee 51 girls) but sure are a lot of folks that do it.  Those who can't fight and still want attention kill gas cans I guess.

Oh, there is no doubt in my mind that not even close to everyone hates fuel porking.

Think about it guys.. maybe 1% of the playerbase posts here.

Of the 1% that posts here, probably 50% of them do one thing while saying another.

So maybe 1/2 of 1% of the AH player base hates fuel porking, the rest of them are all for it.

Well Urchin,

How many of the silent majority hate fuel porking - it's quite speculative to argue either way.

Bottom line anyone who wants to up and furball is going to hate fuel porking, anyone who wants to fly early war planes are going to hate fuel porking, anyone who does not want to fly for twenty minuts just to find a fight is going to hate fuel porking.

If you are trying to say there are very few people that furball or want to furball you may be right.  Seems decent furballs are going the way of the Dinosaurs.

That said the fuel resupply model is the problem.  Fuel porking is an issue because it takes one loser in a pee 51 to pork all the fuel while it takes at least 8 goon rides to bring a base up and then you have to wait for the stupid resupply trucks.  Totally unbalanced, totally lame.  For people that are just looking for a fight, fuel porking is the worst thing going next to sky accountants that don't fight.

Jeez, that made me grin.

Hehe, I remember how you thought I was unaffected by fuel porkage, and how I had to explain that my 109s would not run on solar power! :p

"Mr. Toad! I've only just seen your post from 03:06 this afternoon. The transformation?  Not quite. I still think fuel could be a valid strat target. The difference is that these days, the tardz are making a beeline for the fuel. Their style is to send a suicide squad to take out the fuel, and then fight for capture of the base, knowing that you won't have enough fuel for sustained flight much above 10K. The transformation that you perceive was when you started realising that my planes do not run on solar power and that I'm affected by fuel porkage too!" - Me, on New Year's Day 2004.
How've you been? Seems ages since I saw you...

So at the time of the quote you were logging in disgust when they bombed that "valid strat target"?

I surely don't remember that. I thought you were the "just take off from one field further back" guy in those days.

Say "hi" to tomato, old shifty!

Well tell me another way to stop the rooks 300 players logged on from attacking my 3 bases.  At least porking their fuel makes them fly something over besides a Hoiccane or Nik. Matter of fact I got in my Pony and flew 3 so called "suicide-jabo" runs just to get some space to friggin take -off lol.  By the way Wtg 31st for not giving up in Ma last night, really pissed off the Rooks and Knits . I know people hate pizza but was a nice attitude.

I am one of your "fuel porkers" Though typically my first target of choice is Barracks and Ammo. that way you furballers can still have fun without being  as great a threat.
But the primary reason I pork fuel is not just for the sake of porking fuel but because the mass hordes or aircraft  that tend to be over my feilds porking and/or steamroling my bases.
Its the only way to stop or slow down such tactics.
Want me to stop porking your feilds? Then STOP hoarding and porking MY bases
orr talk HTC into making feilds ALOT harder to capture so they cant be just steamrolled over
Or there is one other option.. Fly Cap and stop me before I get there.
About 90% of all base porkings cn be prevented if
A- people fly high cap in search of inbound threats.
B- when the first porker comes in 17 of 20 people dont chase the one plane low and ignore then next 10 comming in high. (this happens so often its as predicatable as the sunrise)

Cause till either of those changes I'm gonna proudly pork your bases and will enjoy doing so.
And the fact that you all whine about it only makes me enjoy it more.
:D

Lol!

This horse has been beaten to paste.

There's no point in whining; the strateegic gameplay allows/fosters it.

So, as Beet has come to realize, there's one other excellent option: Vote with your feet.

The DA and CT are options and, although I still view it as a step down, there are other games in other genres that provide much better action than porkhording.

So, enjoy, mighty warrior, destroyer of the fuel cans!

I have to say that is an admirable stance and I wish more people were on board with you

Yeah, the community is quite lame when it comes to this.  But again this is only a problem because HTC does nothing to balbance the resupply with the ease of porking.  Hopefully they addressed this in AHII.
