Works for me but I believe the name buffer only allows 4 characters ie Hurr, Typh. Wonder why?

Nope again! In a real war you'd have to get pretty damn close to an enemy to see their markings and get them to pose pretty. In here I suspect it would create witch hunts and downgrade game play to heretofore unknown levels. Sometimes it gets downright nasty.

Forgot to mention that yes, I did get Midnight's point that it was voluntary but a feature like this would degrade game play in that some will always be sucked away from where they're needed by their country due to desires to prove themselves better than the latest hotstick or to avenge a previous defeat or whatever. War sucks enough, let's keep to the saying of the great Italian ace Vito Corleone; "It's business, nothing personal"

I think you may be the one missing the point Beegerite. What is this talk of sucking people away from where they are needed? Last time I checked, I play my way and you play your way and I dont have to play your way if I dont want to. If these other guys want to do this, then thats fine by me...as long as I am not forced to do it if I dont want to.

Great idea!

The only thing is with only having 4 letters in the name would be tough for me. Everyone would see Pyro and think I was the "other" Pyro

. Man I'd never get my plane off the ground...hehe. I know it's voluntary. But man it I seen Leviathen...well lets just say my CO would constantly say "Pyroman where the hell you going again????
