Well, I can tell you why the AK's do it. First, recruitment. If we stay Knight, that greatly hinders our ability to effectively recruit players that are Bishop and Rook. Sure they can see we are a worth adversary, but how are we to fly with? Are we cordial? How do we work as a team? These questions can only be answered by us rotating and allowing others to see how we work and vice versa.
Second, friends. For example, Cobra and the Muskets. If we were to always fly against the guys, sure it would be fun, they are very worthy and honorable opponents. However, there is nothing like doing missions with them either. Some of the funnest times we have had are join missions with other squads, particularly the Muskets. If we stayed one side, and the Muskets another, we would never have the opportunity.
In any event, this is the angle the AK's have. We have toyed with the idea of making it every two weeks, just for balance purposes, but have resolved to leave it at one month, for better or worse.
