My ambition is having fun.  In that sense, I'm a 10.  Anything less, and I wouldn't bother playing.

Right now 0. Things have kept me away and from playing much lately, and I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would. Swarm of bees starts high, gets low, higher bees come in and kill the lower bees which makes them low and invites higher bees. It looks like a food processor from a distance.

Erm...no - I kill the Big 3 EasyMode™ subset far more than they kill me. Last tour (49) was a particularly good Lalafest - 35/4 against LA7. And 33/4 against Spit ix. 20/11 against P51 (needs work). And all without flying the Big3 (or any variants) myself. I think I take account of how LA7s are flown just fine. :p

As for the DA, my ego/ambition don't stretch that far. :lol

Mars, I could not unravel your dissertation.

You don't have to tell me your comprehension skills are as bad as your SA, I know.:aok

All I know is that the first and only time I met you it was below 10K and I killed you. But, come to think of it, it didn't need much ambition at all

Total BS, you mean I was below 10k and you were well above. You dove in from your perch as usual, with the advantage.  I was waiting to see when you would throw that crap out like it was some great kill.  It was not and the fact that you think it was tells me you really aren't that good.  The best part about it was I threw you a and you didn't even have the decency to return it.  Again you showed alot about the guy you are.  ;)

In order to have ambition, you need to seek a challenge.
And how does sitting up on your perch, or hitting undefended bases challenge you Beet?  Maybe you should change your thoughts on this one because you are the one that is excluded with that reasoning. :rofl

Well Mars, I'm flattered that you remember me killing you! You'd think that one death would be overshadowed by all the others. :lol

Nothing wrong with my comprehension. But from you we have

I had no idea you were there. I shoot cons where I find them - is all. But then you said

which is incongruous with what you said earlier. If you were there, how can the base have been "undefended"? Or are you referring to the status quo immediately after your untimely demise? :lol

As for me always flying from a perch with an advantage, this is a myth which has entered AH folklore! I fly the USN planes, mainly F4U1D. Its climb rate is worse than P51,Spitix,LA7,109, 190, TYPH(?) In short, the F4U climbs worse than most of the planes I'm likely to run into. If I relied on being on a perch, do you think I would fly planes that climb like dogs - F4U, P47?

I often take off alone and find trouble! Looky looky at this pic. In the visual area I am surrounded by FOUR enemy P51 - all higher, better turning, better climbing, faster than my F4U. My right aileron had already been shot off when I was afk. There was also a 190A5. I killed one of these P51 and the 190, and made it back to the CV...

... where I cocked up the landing - LOL

Sorry if I didn't return your . But you know what they say in real pilot circles - aviate, navigate, communicate. I can only think that there was another con that needed to be killed. :D

Wow Beet,

Your comp is very bad.  It's not hard to remember because it was so typical of the MA.  You came in high and were cherry picking everyone.

What does it matter weather you knew it was me or not.  Has no bearing on my point at all, which was you were cherry picking in an F4U and dove in from your perch.

LOL what a maroon:lol If I have to tell you what 'OR' means we have bigger problems.

I know it takes a while for you but read it again slowly "Sitting on your perch OR hitting undefended bases.":rofl

Again explanation for the slow.  I am talking about how you fly in general now, not the specific incident.  Notice the use of a totally different paragraph.  You do know what a paragraph is dont you:lol .

Give me a break, "Because I fly the F4U I can't climb":rofl what a crock, you dove in from 15k or better in our engagement so that is total BS.

LOL and the pick must be after you've blown your advantage.  lol :D

Now blowing the landing, I've been there lol :aok

Yeah you probably were overwhelmed up there on your perch lolh:rofl

Hmmm, I read books on WW2 Fighter Combat and Tactics, I employ those tactics to the best of my ability, and endeavor  to improve within the framework of those tactics. That is 'my game' and I have no ambition to best others at 'their game', my only goal is to be successfull at 'my game'. I guess I'd be a 6 or a 7 ambition.

I view AH MA as I would a deer hunting excursion. The thrill for me, is the hunt. The kill is just a successfull culmination of the hunt. Hunting humans is far more interesting than hunting the lower animals ;)

Mars,

Your account is a complete fabrication. Post the film. You were my first kill, so how would you know if I was "cherrypicking everyone", given that you didn't live to see what happened next?

Oh yeah, and thanks for the English lesson, Professor...
