I would have gone with lower latency memory (CAS 2) if not overclocking and PC3700 or PC4000 if overclocking.

Agred - more expensive, faster memory and slower processor, then overclock the hell out of the processor.  :)

Though the way memory prices have spiked lately, that might not be so cost effective anymore.

Since you're reusing old stuff, might have popped for a better video card, but that one should do ya fine for the next year or so.

take a look at Mushkin Level 2 black PC3500 DDR I got some And It Over clocks like a mother BH-5 chips
