Umm, I never said that scenario was in AH :)

I really am sorry for offending you Batz, more so because I know how much of a headache organizing these things are just to have no one join up. I'm not saying I retract any of what I said tho :)

I'm signing up for a yak spot, 3 hours sleep every weekend during May is fitting punishment to giving Batz an ulcer. :aok

I thought the very same.  TOD is the only reason I still lurk and post occasionally.
If there is a lack of interest from existing players in historical gameplay and those who prefered that have moved on then TOD could be a bit of a fizzle.

Westy ... Westy ... Westy ...

The CT still has a few regulars. The events aren't bad. CAP is fun ... so are the Squad Ops. I'd say there's still a hundred or so "historically minded" players still in the game (they just don't all fly at once). Look some of us up and wing. :)

Batz correct me if I'm wrong, the Axis side had an early boost when two regular Axis squads, the Finns and JG54, signed up the first weekend and filled two groups.
Easy in-game again.

ARLO ARlo arlo.    ;)

I don't doubt the events are fun. Being held on Saturdays for the past couple of years meant I could not fly in the recent scenarios though.
I used to fly in the squad-only mini scenarios (forget what they were called) untill I took an AH hiatus, only to come back and find they'd stopped.
And I did prefer the CT combinations (when sides had some sort of balance) to the MA atmosphere.  But the CT got old. Especially with the low numbers, the all too frequent gang banging that occured and the constant bickering (and some of the compromises reached) with many of the setups.

Back to the hijack....  Such a low turnout for a fine scenario IMO sends up a red flag that something is amiss. In the past many players settled for reserve status or were even turned away - and this was for events that were much larger.  Keeping that in mind when you consider the relatively low percentage of the AH population that has ever used the CT one can't help but wonder what's up with the AH player demographics and how will TOD do.

As always it will depend more of an abilities of side leaders and pilots than of the planes qualities. The side which can create the sitation where their rides shine, while other side planes lacks, will dominate this scenario.

Westy, the Tour of Duty (TOD) events have not stopped, they are still going on and are as popular as ever.  :)   The only thing that has changed is the name.... unfortunately, Tour of Duty was also decided upon (after a lengthy discussion thread where HTC asked for suggestions) as the name for AH2, so we had to find an alternative.  The events were therefore renamed Squad Operations (SquadOps or SOs), though many participants still refer to them as the TOD.  Only the name has changed.  ;)
