I view this place as an escape from the females in my life.

I have a wife, a 11 year old daughter(going on 22), a 1 yr old daughter, a female dog, and a female hamster.

This is my little world of sanity and male chest beating.

IMHO lets keep it that way. I have so little control of the rest.

I usually respect people on an individual basis, not by group.  For example, there are plenty of women I do not respect, but I greatly respect my wife.  

Here's one that'll get some hackles raised:  I don't automatically respect ALL veterans of WWII (some of which went on to do bad things), but I respect those who fought for our country and then lived (or are living) a life that continues to demonstrate the values and courage that make our country great.
