OK Mars. Sorry if I seemed to be beating up on you - note "up" not "off". :lol But you have to admit (and you've done it once already) that you have fabricated stories about me. So I'll make a deal. You post the film of me doing 20K zero-risk cherrypicks, and the films of me running, and I'll post the film you want. Deal?

(Note - do not confuse the Z part of a B&Z attack as "running")

the pizza map wasnt too much of a issue to me, it was more the starting locations making really odd and easy to capture fields. Why have each country splitted up 3 times?

Sorry Beet,

I don't care about the way you fly enough. :D   My real life leaves precious spare time, so I'd rather be flying than looking for and thru films to prove you or anyone else one way or another.  I'm also comfortable enough about my skills that it doesn't bother me what you or anyone else thinks or says.  I know the truth, I'm having fun and that’s all that counts.

I wanted you to post this film to substantiate your claims.  Unless you do they are pretty pointless claims.  No big deal tho.  If the glove don't fit you must acquit. :aok

As for me fabricating stories, well, so I got the alt wrong.  The rest was pretty accurate.  My bad, that's what I get for flying without my lawyer present. :D  You came in from 8k I was at 2k, climbing out and I should have dove away and ran from the fight.  (Not my Style.  Its just a game.)  I made my peace with that and moved on, perhaps you should too.

When I run into you down on the deck, yanking and banking with the rest, I'll have a reason to change my opinion.

BTW - BnZ is not running, it's cherry picking. :lol

Intentionally flying into a situation at a lesser advantage and succeeding, that’s where the skills are.  Post that film and I will change my opinion of you.  Till then, it is what it is.  :aok

I figure that if I see players then they are either stupid as me or love to mix it up... I head to the biggest furball and don't try to gain much alt...  maybe 3k   if it is a fur that is farther I may get 5k....  I see mars all the time.

lately.. I have taken to flying the yak about half the time because I am simply tired of the long flights to nowhere in an fm2 and with the yak I can chase down the "fights"

I kill more easily... the runners and milrunners and sky accountants have less skill than the furballers and there is very little SA skill involved but...

it is less fun..  klling name milkunners is easier than killing the rankest newbie furballer it seems..

When the "missun doodz" are swarming... I end up in the CT.   Festers maps give choice.... pizza sucks map takes away choice and makes for all those grey, unfun "chess men of the sky" boring fights.

Uhhh, so BnZ is not a valid (non-dweeb) combat method?

Only turnfighting counts?

I don't think I quite agree with that nor would I agree with # 2. Being able to create and maintain your advantage takes skill as well.

I'm not trying to support Beet1e here, but you are smearing a lot of people and their fighting style with that one.

Sorry kj,

I am not discounting anyone’s choice, I also fly BnZ especially when I am in a BnZ plane.  i.e. the Hog for example.  And yes it takes a level of skill to do, but it is starting with and advantage and it is diving in on those lower than you.  So I classify it as Cherry Picking.

It is my own personal opinion and experience that BnZ is easier than flying low and reversing the BnZrs and getting the kill.  Especially when there are multiple BnZs up there.  I don't mean to offend anyone, jsut my opinion and you know what they say, "Opinions are like prettythangholes, everyones got one." :D

... You have made many pointless claims - without any corroborative evidence of any kind - not even a pic. Yet you expect to be taken at your word. "You were at 20K, no wait, maybe it was 8K... or was it 10K? Maybe more?"

Funny you should say that so soon after saying

I realise you're at the beginning of your F4U self tutelage. When you get a bit further with it, you'll find that it's not a yanking and banking sort of plane. F4U turnfighting on the deck with Spit V/N1K? Erm... I don't think so. Remember, the Hog didn't have to deal with P51/LA7/Spit ix/109 in the real WW2. It's a plane that needs to be flown fast.  But please, do prove me wrong - and post the film.

Oh puhleeeeeze. It's beginning to sound like an unofficial squad mantra. Would the hero of your idolatory fantasy be flying a Spit V by any chance?

I fly at a disadvantage every time I fly, because I never fly the uber trio. :D That's my way of flying at a disadvantage. I was happy enough to get into the top 100 in T49 without recourse to the uber trio or any variants. And before you say they're not uber, let me remind you of what wise man Urchin said about 'em, which was "There's a reason why folks fly [the uber trio]. And we all know what that reason is."

Back in.

"I can see you standing there, hand on heart, looking up at the flag fluttering in the wind, tears rolling down cheeks as someone attempts to sing about that spangled thing."

Talking about the American Flag, Beet1e? Where are you from?
I'll bet my countrymen have come home wrapped in that flag because they were helping to defend your country at one time or another. Do you really have to be unilaterally offensive in that manner because you are having a tussle with mars?

The fundementalist furball crowd just can't stop whining about their lack of skill to keep away from cherry pickers.

I'm afraid my remarks were in questionable taste. I do apologise to you, Mars, and any other Americans that may have been reading. I had deliberately made no direct reference to any particular flag, but clearly I still went too close. I've deleted that particular remark.

BUG - I was thinking about you the other day. My bug has been in the garage for 6 months without being driven. Once I got the fuel lines primed it started on the first turn of the key. But I need to sell it...

Yes, the fundamentalist furballers think that their particular skills are the only skills in the game. They talk about people having a "deeper understanding of the game" than someone like me, but they only play what - 25% of the game? They don't do captures, strat, buffs, troop drops, resupp sorties, HQ defence, GVs, PT boats, ship driving... someone like Rod367 does ALL of those things. Guys like him are the ones I respect. I couldn't give a stuff about yanking and banking or "mixing it up on the deck" or "weed wacking" at 2K in a plane clearly not designed for that purpose. Or, even worse, taunting a guy for flying a fast energy fighter for not doing the above. Can you imagine it - a P47D30 at 2K/180mph yanking and banking against a Spit V? Beam me up, Scotty...

bug... it may be that I lack skill... probably true in fact but... I have noticed that those who fly fast planes are even worse... I run into very few that can put up much of a fight when I fly the yak or tempest.. I simply chase em down and kill em.  if they don't have enough e to run effectively to home or the horde then they simply die...

I find that the newest furballer puts up at least a semblance of a fight.

If the maps have closer fields then the furballers can fight without too much interferance from the extremely timid  er... "realistic" players.

If the fields are closer then everyone has a choice but.... that is not what the "chose an advantage in the hanger" crowd wants is it?   They want the fields far apart so that if anyone is dumb enough to fly slow early planes... the sky accountants can B&Z em with impunity and if it gets to look like a fight... run away easily.

Sounds like a challenge to me. Can you imagine that P47 killing that SpitV? Maybe its the challenge of a tough fight that makes the game what it is for some Beetle.

I could fly around in a spit9 all day and probably not die, but how boring would that be...

Its because of the challenge that I turn fight my P51 with spits and many times win. Also many times I die. But it is the challenge that makes it fun. Sure, other times I am not in the mood for that. And I'll fly the 51 the way it flys best, BnZ and bag 10+ kills... That gets boring fast though.

I dont see how this is posible. I dont think its because they understand the game more than you. Rather, I think the fact that they know how to play the game in a way that they enjoy and that way doesnt fit into your criteria for a "good player".

Um, reality CHECK.

For starters this isnt "real ww2"

WHAT are you afraid of? The F4U is a great turn fighter when light. Its also very good at forcing over shots. You do know what those are right? Its how I make a living when I fly a spit also...

Beetle its very obvious that you do not agree with how others play the game and spend their 15 bucks. We all know this by now... We all couldnt care less...

Drawing pictures like a child, mocking respectable players like Mars is only hurting yourself in the long run.

Maybe, sometimes thats all they have time for? A quick fun fight then off to work. Or off to spend time with their families? I know many times I only have 10-15 minutes to play... I am not going to spend those 10-15 minutes flying a resuply goon... I dont think anyone else in that situation would either...
