Firewalls and AH
« on: April 14, 2004, 09:37:43 PM »
OK, I finally got on the firewall bandwagon.  I've cleared 8 viruses off of my machine and installed avast! and EZ firewalls.  When I start AH and atempt to go online however, the system locks up.  Do folks shut down their firewalls while flying?                                                 eskimo

You may need to configure your firewall for tcp/udp in/outbound traffic for ports 2000-5000

Any reason why you did not go for the free version of Zonealarm ?
Nothing can be simpler than configuring that for gaming.

OK,
I got it.  There's a function that allows you to give certain permissions to specific programs.

All is well.

BTW 214, this one is free as well.
