Youre trying to save face after an attempt to make a political argument at the expense of dead soldiers and it fell of deaf ears - whats not to understand?

Save face? No... Being sarcastic perhaps.

I couldn't tell what the hell ya were trying to say by just pasting two of my posts together.

Really simple, Nashy.  The guide to effective posting recommends maximum information desemination with minimum effort.  I didnt have to type a damned thing to let you know what I thought of your post.

Ohh... "Nashy" is it now?

While I don't disparage the lifestyle choice you and your type make, just keep it out of my face. Real simple, and we'll all get along.

Not that there's anything wrong with it.

(man... it feels weird even trying to fake that).

Now then...

The guide to effective posting recommends maximum information desemination with minimum effort. I didnt have to type a damned thing to let you know what I thought of your post.

Well... pssst... you actually DID type something. And in a sort of uhm.... tuesday night FOX news type of way you actually said nothing whilst saying it.

If this post is an attempt to honor the men and woman who died in Iraq, I applaud it.   I will never forget them.

If it is an attempt to write a political point in their blood then I will never forget that either.

This wasn't meant as a place to argue.  No matter how you feel about politics there isn't one of us who wants another of our soldiers and marines to die.

Lets put these petty differences aside for a moment and remember those who gave everything to his/her country.

oh whatEVar!

Only the absolute most remote of hermits and isolated shy bald monks this world over might not have the sinking suspicion that people are dying over there.

Do you need this photo....

... to make you snap a crisp salute to the fallen?

Where was this thread a day before this pic was taken?

Strk: I know why ya posted this... and I'm all for it. But just because folks alluhsudden get teary eyed and pat you on the back shouldn't cause you to pretend like it was some sort of sincere gesture. We both know better.

Nash, for me  the story impacted me and had nothing to do with the photo. I was just impressed by the woman in the article and her expressions of how much respect is paid to these soldiers and her wish comfort the families and her desire to let them know how much care is taken  while helping to get the  fallen back home.

The photo for me had very little to do with the article posted.

Well.... I'm sorta getting blasted for posting the the update (link) to the article you're refering to.

The pic politicized the war, and I politicized the pic. Guilty as charged.

Beyond that... I got the same read out of it that you did. It's a good story and I'm glad I read it.

It was a pic of dead soldiers in coffins.

It obviously stirred up some feeling and hearty 's.

Why? cuz ya saw it in the first place.

If all went according to the forces that be.... Families of the dead would be notified quietly and all dignified-like and... whatever.

And you would have no idea.

It's amazing that this appears to be flying over so many heads.  If Bush had his way, this thread would not exist for you guys to honour your fallen.

With all due respect, of course, youre the last person that should be lecturing on 'lifestyle choices.'

However, at least you acknolwdged the intention of this entire thread.  Unfortunately, making light of dead soldiers and those paying virtual respects to them appears to have been the wrong bandwagon to jump on.

And with all due respect to you... "lifestyle choice" was an obvious joke, yet you wanna extract it out... and out of context...  and apply it to me to make some sort of point. Guess what... You dropped it. Total fumble. Yer point is lost.

And who here is "making light of dead soldiers"?

Is that your take on it? Really?

Pretty sad...

If I thought you were actually legit with this and not just scrambling for a point somehow, somewhere, I'd ignore you... But since you're quite obviously goofin I'm happy to play.

We're okay Saur.
