The Sharks played awesome games...
the Av's played just the opposite.

The Sharks definately deserve to be on top in the series.  I wouldn't say it's over until it's over but things are looking pretty "medium well" already.

The Av's don't even look like they care to play hockey.  They're more interested in pretty passes and trying to make the highlight reel.

lol.. just callin' it like I see it.

Hard to be behind a team that doesn't seem to want to be there in the first place.  Besides, I'm a fan that is kinda pissed about the 'prima-donna' mode the av's have been in since acquiring all the high-priced talent.

Hard to complain about how the Avs played tonight.  I will not make fun of them anymore.

Yeah but funked...

In light of the post Sunking just made?

It's true...

Respect the best team that money can buy?

Not me. If I were an Avs/Red Wings fan I'd get bored of it.

I'm sure if they get eliminated they will dump Teemu and Kariya.  Sharks fans could have saved them some trouble.  Teemu has nothing left in the tank.
Other than those two guys the Avs haven't really bought their team like DET.

Where are all the Toronto fans?  I need someone to make fun of.

Had a few at the game on Sunday... although they didnt join in with our section's "Eddie....Eddie...Eddie...." chants.

Sore losers, I guess.

I'm a Penguins fan.....

We rode the gravy train for years and years, getting spoiled with the cup and the playoff appearances.

Now they are the scum suckers of the league.

Unless the NHL gets a salary cap and revenue sharing in this years contract, its done anyways.  If your not a big market team like Avs, the Redwings, or the Rangers (well maybe they don't count ;) ) you just can't spend enough to hire the talent needed to be competitive.

My favourite stat, in light of the Red Wings/Flames series:

Red Wings: Curtis Joseph, the highest paid goaly in the NHL at $8 million.

Flames: Miikka Kiprusoff at a tenth of that - 880,000.

I wouldn't trade Kiprusoff for Joseph in a million years.

If I had the choice, I would give you Joseph for a half eaten donut.  He sucks.  Especially in the playoffs.  I hated the fact that the Wings signed him.

funny, the two lowest payrolls in the playoffs are most likely going to play for the cup.  Nice to see.

Salaries in the NHL are ridiculous.  Isn't the salary cap in the NFL for each team something like $80M per year, and how many players compared to $75M+ for like 15 players on some NHL teams?

Sorry, bit of a rant for me ;)
