The mage o' thousand lightning bolts is most obviously a current member of the FDB's.  The girl apparently never made the cheerleading squad but she sure is convincing at the end of the video.  She's like a "groupie" or somethin'....

I met some kids that were into that when I was 15, I thought they were freaks. Quite the imaginations though.

I didn't get into that crap until college when it was either play those games with ex-Navy engineers or sit around the house watching 1 of 4 television stations (and the tv sucked after football season was over).  I still have one of the barbarian warrior figures I hand-painted.  Its sitting on my scale model workbench getting in the way.  One of these days I'm going to clean it up and put it in a box.  Or lose it.  I've already lost a ninja figure I used for my Thief characters (which I managed to get killed off every other week).

I quit playing AD&D when I got good enough at beach volleyball to not look like that skinny guy in the Charles Atlas comic book ads.

Hey man I dunno - all I was able to figure out is that if I go into Google and type in something called 'gen con' I get all sorts of neat pictures of plastic axe wielding nextdoor neighbors.

Man - and you guys bust on me for having a whoopee lightsaber.

I give you the level two finger - this **** it just plain weird.

I once saw a video of a club/society that gets together, makes outlandish armour and weapons from colored foam and then have huge 100 player battles in their local parks. These D&D geeks have nothing on those guys.
